“Great accommodations - Great Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

I have just returned from spending one week (Feb 4 - 11) at the Wyndham Nashville. Our visit to the Wyndham was with a time-share exchange (Wyndham Nashville is not our home resort). The resort is very nice with several buildings, pools, activities, and very courteous employees. The grounds are lovely and well kept.

Our condo, a superior two bedroom two bathroom was very spacious with lots of large closets. And was spotless. Plenty of bath towels and six huge pool towels are provided. In both bathrooms were some complimentary toiletries (shampoo, hand lotion, mouth wash, bar soap) and in the kitchen was a welcome basket with salt and pepper, popcorn, hot chocolate and coffee. Also furnished with the washing machine and dryer were two packets of laundry detergent and back in the kitchen were dish washing liquid, dish washer soap, a pot scrubber sponge and extra trash bags. The kitchen had three very nice brand new looking stainless steel Cuisinart small appliances, a toaster, blender and coffee maker. I only used the toaster and it worked perfectly.

Each day we would have a message on the telephone telling of the activities furnished by the resort for the next day. Live music was provided two nights while we were there. Several activities were offered for children during the week also. We were out and about every day so did not participate in any of the activities and I would imagine in the summer months more activities would be offered. In each of the bedrooms were flat screen TV's and in the living room was a third flat screen TV.

We were in a building (#15) that had an elevator but I had read that some of the buildings do not, so be sure to ask for one if you need one. Two weeks before our arrival I called the resort to ask if I could request some specifics and was greeted with a nice response "why certainly" I was told. So I requested a top floor condo, a building with elevator and condo away from the elevator entrance. Upon check in these request were repeated back to me and upon arrival to our building and condo (#1540) I saw that all of my request were granted .........perfect !!! So if you have specific needs or request, call the resort and I'm sure they will try to accommodate you if they can.

Location for the resort - very very close to Gaylord Opryland Resort (3 - 5 minute drive), Grand Ole Opry (3 - 5 minute drive) and Opry Mills (re-opening Spring 2012) 3 - 5 minute drive. Downtown Nashville is a very easy 15 minute drive from the resort.

So yes, would be happy to stay again at the Wyndham Nashville.

Room Tip: For us, having a top floor end condo was perfect. Don't be afraid to state your request, they d...

“Nice Resort - horrible sales people”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

I just spent 3 consecutive weeks at this resort as we were doing a home search for a move to the Nashville area.
The rooms were very nice. We stayed in a 2 bedroom lock-out and then a 2 bedroom unit.
The front staff was very helpful in making our stay easy by keeping us in one unit for 2 weeks and when we had to change to a different unit they gave us the one next door. It made for an easy move.

If you will be visiting and hope to use the kitchen at all I would suggest that you bring along a step stool. The cabinets are so high that they cannot be reached without help if you are not a very tall person.

I loved the deep whirlpool spa tubs in the master bedrooms.

We had a terrible experience with their sales person, though. I had read the reviews and knew that the sales person was the one they sent with the "free gift." My husband did not know this though and he checked in before I arrived and agreed to receive the "free gift."

Let me just say that this Wyndham resort is not RCI friendly and they were very deceptive with their techniques. When we chose to not go to the sales building for a meeting (that they said was to correct a legal mistake on their part), our "gift giver" began harassing us with phone calls to my husband's cell phone and our room phone. He even left a recorded message about how rude we were to not speak with him.

Go - Enjoy - but don't accept the "free gift."

“Very nice place”

We spend two nights here and were extremely impressed. We had a two bedroom condo that was immaculately clean (as were the grounds and exteriors of the building). Check in was very smooth and the staff did a great job of keeping us informed of activities, though we didn't have time to participate in any of them.

The rooms are generously sized and stocked with all the amenities you'd need, including all kitchen items. My only complaint, and it's more of an observation than complaint, is that the decor is too dark, furniture in the living room and dining area too big, and appointments are dated. But as I said, it's extremely clean.

The resort was very quiet, as you would expect for mid-January, though there were a reasonable number of people around. I would be concerned during peak travel times that the noise level could be too much, what with outdoor pools, kids running around, etc. We had a third floor unit and whoever was in the unit above us had a very heavy foot fall. If you were to add kids, it might be annoying enough to want to relocate.

That said, I will definitely return here on future visits to Nashville. We had a very reasonable nightly rate given the time of year, but the additional cost during peak times will be well worth it. So much room to spread out and relax, including the private balcony. And did I mention how clean it was!!??

Room Tip: Ask for a unit on the top floor to avoid hearing people tromp on your ceiling. Also will ask for a...

“Check-in was not smooth but resort is nice”

When we arrived there were problems checking into our rooms. One of the rooms we were checking into had some type of stain on the sofa bed and it had been removed. Unfortunately, we were traveling as a large group and needed that sleep space. It was finally ironed out but it was a few hours after check in.

The facility is typical for a Wyndham Resort (which is good) and the amenities center is nice and fairly convenient from all buildings. This was in December and the outdoor pool and hot tub were both heated and open which was unexpected and appreciated.

Location is excellent - very close to Grand Ole Opry and Opryland Hotel and an easy drive to downtown.

We spent two nights here and were impressed with the entire facility. The rooms were spacious and well decorated - very comfortable. It was a slow time of the year, so not much was happening. We;ll go back in better weather and enjoy the entire place

Room Tip: First floor in building 21 is less crowded
