“nice rooms, friendly staff”

This hotel is located very near the Opryland Gaylord hotel and is a nice alternative. The rooms are nice and I found them to be clean and well appointed. The bathrooms are small but that is the case with all Hyatt Places since they all follow the same floor plan. Everything in the room functioned well. The rooms have 42 flat screens but be warned, only the digital channels (about 6 of them) come in clear. The SD channels are snowy. I hosted a very small meeting here of 6 people. The meeting room was adequate and the staff attentive. The front desk was helpful in giving dining suggestions and provide both an airport shuttle and shuttle to nearby locations. The bar area as with all Hyatt Places is small but well stocked. Food is OK if you are in a hurry. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the opryland area or wanting to stay close to downtown. There is a Hyatt Place closer to the airport but this location is closer to dining, etc... Shuttle to the airport takes about 15 minutes.

“Found hair and dirt in bed”

I am a Hyatt Gold Passport Platinum member and often stay @ Hyatt for personal and business travel. I stayed here one night in late January 2012. Discovered @ 10:45 p.m. that the bed sheets were dirty from the previous guest. Found hair and dirt in bed! Evidently the maid never changed the sheets. Spoke with the manager the next morning upon checkout. She didn't seem overly concerned about it. She said she "would look into it". She also said that she would put some extra points in my Hyatt Gold Passport account for the trouble. The points never appeared and neither will I at this hotel again

Avoid this Hyatt Place!!!.

Stayed at this hotel because I love the Hyatt brand. I know the room will be clean and updated looking. This was also true for this particular location. Did not have any room issues aside from there was no exhaust fan (just found that strange).

“Loved it!”

This is my second time staying at this hotel. I love it. I used the shuttle for the first time and I'm not sure about others who had complaints, but the shuttle was on time for me. Not only that, but he was courteous and took me to get my rental car which I had booked at the cheaper Enterprise instead of at the airport.

The breakfast was wonderful -- nice upgrade with traditional foods as well as nice non-pork meat (ie. turkey, etc) on croissants with cheese, tomatoes, etc (When I'm in the south they only seem to serve pork for breakfast --- welcome change). Only drawback at breakfast was the waffles were cold one day and the french toast was warm -- not warm enough to melt my butter. No matter, I shouldn't have been trying to eat waffles and french toast anyway!!! The folks in the back cooking would come out and ask if I was happy with the food. Nice.

The room was just as I expected -- spacious with a humungous flat-screen HD TV. Nice work area. Plenty of outlets for all of my gadgets. (what more could a girl want???) Oh, a nice comfortable bed at the end of the day and hot food available 24 hours a day. So what there's no room service.....I order food, they call me when it's ready, and I get exercise walking down at 3am to get hot tasty soup and wings if I'm hungry. (yes, I know the wings at 3am counteracts the exercise of walking, but you get my drift).

Speaking of exercise, there is a nice workout room on the first floor.

Everybody was so personable (shout - out to Tiffany who checked me in on Monday afternoon and was working bright and early Tuesday morning). And I do mean EVERYBODY was nice. After 10 pm however, the poor guy at the front desk was all over the place doubling/tripling as check in clerk, order-taker for food, bar mixer, etc. Everyone felt SO bad for him being pulled in different directions, but he was so kind (he gave me free herbal tea for my cold, after having to wait on him waiting on everyone else)

I would definitely return to this Hyatt Place if I have to return to Nashville.

Interesting Note: I reserved on line and got a AAA rate of $129. When I called up to change the dates, I wanted to make sure the rate would not change but it did ----- to $89!!!!! Whoo hoo! I'm thinking a call to the hotel gives a cheaper rate than online (???) I will definitely investigate in the future.

Room Tip: I was on 5th floor away from elevator and ice machine. Lovely, quiet room
