This is my second time staying at this hotel. I love it. I used the shuttle for the first time and I'm not sure about others who had complaints, but the shuttle was on time for me. Not only that, but he was courteous and took me to get my rental car which I had booked at the cheaper Enterprise instead of at the airport.
The breakfast was wonderful -- nice upgrade with traditional foods as well as nice non-pork meat (ie. turkey, etc) on croissants with cheese, tomatoes, etc (When I'm in the south they only seem to serve pork for breakfast --- welcome change). Only drawback at breakfast was the waffles were cold one day and the french toast was warm -- not warm enough to melt my butter. No matter, I shouldn't have been trying to eat waffles and french toast anyway!!! The folks in the back cooking would come out and ask if I was happy with the food. Nice.
The room was just as I expected -- spacious with a humungous flat-screen HD TV. Nice work area. Plenty of outlets for all of my gadgets. (what more could a girl want???) Oh, a nice comfortable bed at the end of the day and hot food available 24 hours a day. So what there's no room service.....I order food, they call me when it's ready, and I get exercise walking down at 3am to get hot tasty soup and wings if I'm hungry. (yes, I know the wings at 3am counteracts the exercise of walking, but you get my drift).
Speaking of exercise, there is a nice workout room on the first floor.
Everybody was so personable (shout - out to Tiffany who checked me in on Monday afternoon and was working bright and early Tuesday morning). And I do mean EVERYBODY was nice. After 10 pm however, the poor guy at the front desk was all over the place doubling/tripling as check in clerk, order-taker for food, bar mixer, etc. Everyone felt SO bad for him being pulled in different directions, but he was so kind (he gave me free herbal tea for my cold, after having to wait on him waiting on everyone else)
I would definitely return to this Hyatt Place if I have to return to Nashville.
Interesting Note: I reserved on line and got a AAA rate of $129. When I called up to change the dates, I wanted to make sure the rate would not change but it did ----- to $89!!!!! Whoo hoo! I'm thinking a call to the hotel gives a cheaper rate than online (???) I will definitely investigate in the future.
Room Tip: I was on 5th floor away from elevator and ice machine. Lovely, quiet room
