Gaylord is a beautiful hotel! Took my elderly parents (80s) and spent two nights there. The service was pretty good. We were able to take a bus (no charge) from the hotel to the Grand Ole Opry to see the Rockettes, which was spectacular! My parents were able to be driven by golf cart to the door.
We stayed in a handicap accessible room whch was very nice; walk in shower, large room. The problem was the distance from the lobby to our room. My parents were exhausted when we would go out and come back! This hotel is like the disney world of hotels in size. So if walking a distance is a problem then you should ask for a room closer to the lobby or borrow a wheelchair.
If you have a handicap tag or placard you can valet park for the same price as self-parking. That was a big help too because it was raining part of the trip. Worth the $3-5 tip each way!
We did go out to eat our meals because of the cost of the in hotel restaurants. $15 for a waffle....really?
Overall a great holiday trip.
