“Pleasant but boring location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

I was here on a conference. The rooms were nice but I have difficulty adjusting the temperature of the room. There are 2 gadgets to operate the reverse cycle: one mounted on the wall and the other on the ceiling. You need to check the ceiling gadget to make sure that the green light is on before you could adjust the temperature on the wall gadget. This is an unusual arrangement and I had 2 freezing nights before I eventually knew how to operate the cycler. I had a 2 br apartment and I find the layout of the furniture in the lounge area to be too cramped. I used the pool, gym and jacuzzi. I found the jacuzzi water to be too chlorinated. There were not too many other activities on site but travellers have to walk to San Remo.

“Rooms and Service good, restaurant bad”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Silverwater is a great place to stay but avoid the restaurant. My have a great time in Kids club, the rooms are clean and the staff at reception very helpful. The resturant is poor, had breakfast one day and for $27.00 I would expect better, the bacon was horid. Tried for dinner one night and the food was okay but the staff where unorganised and chaotic. Waited 15 mins just for the menu.

Will go agin, but not to eat.

Dear Sean D
Thank you for taking the time to provide valuable feedback on your stay. We certainly appreciate your positive comments regarding the quality of our rooms, kids club and the receptionists and that you will be returning to the resort in the future.

In relation to breakfast; the charge of $27 per adult for an all inclusive breakfast buffet is very competitive with other Victorian regional properties of a similar standard to ours. Prior to setting the breakfast rate, we price compared against a basket of other properties where most were above the $30 mark for a similar offering. As an added benefit for our guests we also offer a discount to the normal price if you pre-book breakfast making the overall cost even more attractive.

I was disappointed to hear that you did not enjoy the bacon. We have recently been trialling some different products in our restaurant in an effort to be more supportive of local growers and producers. I do agree that there were taste variations from some of the more boutique producers but am happy to report we have found a great supplier who we will be using for our smallgoods going forward.

Thank you again for your feedback and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

“Scared after reading reviews - but it was perfect!”

I read the negative reviews and was a bit worried about our holiday. But we had a great time and thought the place was great. Heaps to keep teh kids interested, a lovely pool suitable for small kids and large, nice games room, heaps of kid activities (including ones where they take your kids so you can enjoy a drink in peace)!

Rooms were nice, staff all very cheerful and helpful. Gorgeous views and balconies that take advantage of them.

The last night someone moved in upstairs and I will say that the sound proofing was not good - sounded like a herd of elephants up there, which would be annoying if the neighbors were not considerate!

Breakfast buffet wasn't worth the money so we only did that once - the food wasn't very nice, but kids eat free before 9am so it was worth a go.

Will definitely head back there - it was a great set up in a peaceful location.

“Great place for families”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

This is a great place to stay - especially if you are going to use all the facilities, you would great value for money here. We only used the pool but that was our choice. Our only gripe was that we requested a ground floor room, and this was not granted, l feel that on booking they should have some idea if it could be accommodated and make sure it happens, room serves food arrived cold - but on checkout we were not required to pay, the staff are wonderful and the amenities fantastic, the restaurant and food was delivered fast and was amazing. The studio room is small with no knives or forks - so bring your own if you have snacks. They have two pools and indoor and outdoor which is a great idea. It is about 15 out of town, but this was not a big deal. There is so much to do around this area, so book two nights at minimum :-0)

Room Tip: You may not get the room of your choice - so be warned if you have an injury and not fond of stairs.

“Amazing Holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

Thank you Silverwater Resort and Staff for an amazing holiday. Our family of two adults and two kids had a wonderful 7 night stay at the resort in January 2012. We found the the accommodation to be clean, accessible and altogether relaxing. The facilities are wonderful and we all had a ball. Thanks to the staff for the attention to detail. We will definitely be coming back. Well done.
