“Perfect Relaxation”

My boyfriend and I decided that for Valentines Day we would have a weekend away at the Lindenderry Winery and we absolutely adored our experience. The welcoming check in made us feel right at home. The room was very luxurious looking over the well kept gardens and tennis courts of the estate. The three course meal at the hotels restaurant was well priced and delicious! We highly recommend the Lindenderry 2008 chardonay to accompany the meal. The pool, spa and sauna were fantastic to relax and everything we could possibly need was at our fingertips. We are looking forward to our next visit where we shall bring our families and possibly enjoy the lounges a bit more.

“What a charming property in Red Hill”

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the General Manager, we were quite naughty really as we arrived a little early, but this was not a problem, she took our bags stored them away and took us into the lovely restaurant for complimentary Devonshire Tea and we had the most lovliest view of the vineyard. After finishing our Devonshire Tea the General Manager provided us with the keys to our room.... And what a lovely room it was we stayed in the suite - Maple 205. It was beautiful and may I add extremely clean (I noted previous people staying here commented on the grout in the bathroom being extremely dirty, well if they had a closer look, the would notice that is the colour of the grout, its a clay colour). I have to really comment on how clean the rooms and the property is. The view from our room was beautiful overlooking the lake and grounds and we had a shared balcony which was lovely. There were bathrobes and slippers placed on our bed too.

We were provided with (free of charge) vouchers to the winery for wine tasting and an upgrade from breakfast to brunch.

The winery is lovely and the lady manning the winery was very attentitive even though there were a few of us there, she was not flustered at all, we had the ploughmans plate which was just enough to keep the hunger at bay for dinner time in the restaurant.

We even had a massage in their day spa.... My other half fell alseep and snored away thats how relaxing it was. Their pool and spa are good too you can control how hot you want them to be.

Unfortunately we only stayed 1 night, I wish it was longer.

Brunch upon check out was lovely and set our stomachs in good stead for the trip back home.

A few points to make:

How refreshing it was that the General Manager takes the time to speak to you and she ensures that your stay is a pleasant one, she even hugged us when we departed we actually felt like we were part of a family. You can see that she takes pride in the daily upkeep of the hotel.

All the staff we encountered were very friendly and happy to accommodate any request.

I have to make note of the bed, it was so comfortable.

If your intentions are to experience accommodation in the country, dont expect to stay at a 5 star resort as this is not the case, they are not situated in the Melbourne CBD they are situated in Red Hill... It would be a pity to expect this. Enjoy and embrace what this lovely hotel in Lindenderry has to offer you will be pleasantly surprised.

Thank you to all the staff that made our stay so memorable.

A very detailed review! Thank you for sharing your experience of your stay with us at Lindenderry. We try hard to ensure our guests feel valued and appreciated. It is hard in todays world to always meet expectations, even so, our aim is always to try to exceed them! Thank you again for your feedback which will be shared with the staff who work hard at the coal face daily to make this a great place to stay.

“Perfect getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

I stayed here for a wedding and can’t same enough good things about our visit!

The stand out points were really the setting and the staff – the property is just gorgeous, bordered by vines on one side and lush bush setting on the other. If you have time, go for a walk around the property, lake and bushland – well worth it! Staff were fantastic – friendly and professional, a rarity these days! And great at accommodating our last minute needs (like a forgotten tie . . .!)

The room we stayed in was great even though it was the cheapest on offer (I’m not sure where the other feedback comes from!) – huge, lovely garden view, very comfy bed and extremely clean. I was worried that the ‘country’ look would be code for rundown pine and gingham but need not have worried - it’s very elegant and modern. Negatives? Would have liked a bigger tv! The building has lots of large communal spaces that feel like a luxe loungeroom, thoughtfully designed and kitted out – we used these a lot to catch up with friends or read a book by the windows – so much nicer than of being confined to your room.

Great location for exploring the region and it’s wineries (make sure you try their wine, esp the pinot!) too – all in all, a relaxing, charming, getaway.

This place has so much potential! And I cannot complain about the service (as we were upgraded) and staff were great. Breakfast was also very nice and the location fantastic. It just seems like such a waste as the rooms let the place down majorly. They are so outdated and we paid $340 for one night (for which you would expect something of a much higher standard). Someone should get their hands on this place and refurb it and it would be buzzing. Cleanliness I'm also not sure about, I found a pubic hair in the middle of the bedspread on entering for the first time which I quickly whipped away as if the husband saw it he would have hit the roof.

Lindenderry has a magical location and a very keen team of staff who want to deliver a great experience. I am glad you felt this. I note your review of our rooms, which are as shown on our website and were clearly not to your taste. Our linens and rooms are serviced daily and linens serviced by a commercial off site laundry. All feedback we receive is valued and will be reviewed to improve future guest experiences.

“made to feel like royalty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

From the moment we arrived and sat down to enjoy complimentary Devonshire tea, we felt instantly relaxed. We were greeted warmly by reception staff and given a map highlighting the different areas and location of our room. After eating, we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, touring both inside and outside the property and thoroughly enjoyed our cellar tasting. The staff were very informative with the wines we tasted.

We were a little disappointed when the time came to access our room, we also found the bed to be uncomfortable. We have since been assured by management that this is not a normal comment and that the beds are normally rated highly.

On a more positive note, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal at the restaurant. Both the food and service were faultless. We enjoyed the humour of our waiter Dale and were thankful that he acknowledged our anniversary. I ordered the steak which was cooked to perfection and the last-minute order of chips was rushed through and arrived expediently. The following morning, we enjoyed the delicious buffet breakfast and were honoured to taste and compare the breakfast sausages by the General Manager, who is obviously quite brilliant at what she does.

We have stayed at 3 of the 4 properties now, including Lindenwarrah and a wedding in Lancemore and had a wonderful time at each.

The staff for provided us with a lovley experience, and we greatly enjoyed our short break.

Thank you! Our recent comments in Trip Advisor have been devastating. So great to have your feedback which is more in line with our internal guest reviews. We are asked quite often how guests can buy our beds, so we are monitoring this very closely, as a result of your feedback. Thanks again!
