This has been our third “mother/daughter” stay at Roseneath, and when visiting Point Lonsdale, we couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else. Our hosts, Richard and Diana Moodie (and their lovely little dog Maddie), have a natural ability to make us feel at home and welcome which never ceases to amaze and delight us! The time, care, thought and love they have dedicated to decorating is apparent from the moment you walk through the door. Filled with old world charm (but with all the modern conveniences), your mornings at Roseneath start with breakfast, sitting at a beautifully laid table. Who needs lunch or dinner after offerings of fresh and delicious fruit salad (Diana’s speciality), toast, croissants, porridge, eggs and your choice of an array or coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The day is then yours to wander into Point Lonsdale Village or maybe explore Queenscliff. If you prefer, stay and read under the fig tree in the sun filled garden during summer or in front of the crackling open fire during winter. After a long, lazy day, a warm bubble bath and yet another hot chocolate, a comfortable, cosy bed awaits. Richard and Diana…thank you for looking after us so well. Not only are you accommodating, professional and attentive hosts, but truly genuine and special people who we now consider as friends. We will be back…again and again……….
