We stayed here on our way home and it was a lovely location. The villas are very nice and we were fortuante enough for the weather to be cool enough to use the fire place. Exceptionally quiet and the gardens are lovely. There are a couple of things I would do to improve the experience. I think the property should provide fresh baked bread and perhaps a few eggs and some ham or bacon in their breakfast pack. The port was a lovely touch. The property is within walking distance to Beechworth itself (about 1.3km or thereabouts) if you are keen on a walk. We have a two bedroom cottage though there were only the two of us and I will definitely take my children back there for a holiday next year when we move to Canberra. The owner is very friendly and obliging. With just a few little 'extras' this could be a really fantastic place.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at Country Charm Cottages.
Our cottage was very clean & well furnished & provided us with all the amenities we required for a self catering short stay.
We, too, appreciated the extra towels & the fire was very welcome after a day of sightseeing in the Victorian winter.
My only complaint is the fact that a note on the office door said that our hosts were not on site, lived locally & could be contacted on a specific phone number. We had met one of our hosts on the 2nd day of our arrival & she was aware that we did not have mobile phone coverage in Beechworth. Unfortunately we weren't given an alternate way of contact should we have needed them.

We would happily recommend the Country Charm Cottages in Beechworth as a very comfortable place to stay. We felt the cottage offered every thing we required for a short stay. We enjoyed having an open fire. We particulary liked the fact that there was a coffee plunger and a hair drier. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and to have a couple of spare bath towels in the cupboard was thoughtful.

Very quiet location and great base from which to explore the joys of Beechworth and district. Bonus was 10% discount to Defence personnel. Host was more than helpful and generous with provisions. Thoroughly recommended
