We stayed here with 3 kids before we went to the Wiggles. Got a good deal on a room with a sofa bed for 2 kids & third slept in porta cot we took. The room was $60 cheaper than any alternatives for the night.

The staff were good & helpful, the pool was good but could have done with a clean, not sure when it was last done.

The room was nosiy, my husband couldn't decide what was worse the air conditioner or the road, we were on the 6th floor but that didn't help much.

I would say here again but only if the other hotel we use was much more expensive.

I had sought a venue for a workshop in the Parramatta area which was readily accessible by car with complimentary parking and proximity to public transport. The parking was fine but the train service proved to be too irregular and difficult. The assigned staff member was very helpful but could not compensate for the mediocre physical space in the "penthouse" which was difficult to reach by lift and and too far away from amenities such as toilets and espresso coffee from the ground floor restaurant. A ceiling mounted pull down screen and a lectern, normally included at other hotel venues in room hire were charged at an exorbitant rate through a contractor. The room had shabby fittings, a stale smell of beer and was poorly insulated from the continuous noise of trucks on the busy roadway 6 floors below!. The lobby area had a retro feel of the 80's and the dining area where we had a very basic choice for lunch lacked character, although I noted the adjacent restaurant apparently has won awards for its food. The morning tea had however been well received. Registrants were greeted and directed on arrival but later when I wanted to speak to the events coordinator I spent several minutes standing at the front desk ignored by the staff preoccupied with whatever was on their computer screens. This property needs a wake up call if it wants to attract discerning workshop organisers. Having been assured by the enthusiastic events coordinator that we would have a very positive experience all I can assume is that those who use this hotel for meetings have not had much exposure to the quality that other locations offer for the same or lesser cost. I won't be returning or recommending it to others and it has decided me against considering the Rydge's chain again, even though in the past I have been satisfied with their Wollongong and Campbelltown venues.

On line Booking result was good, and the moment we were greeted the experience just got better (except for the noisy music which was a bit hard to digest in the restaurant) however it was Christmas party time and Race day and was to be expected.
Staff were great food was excellent and not expensive.
The bed was soft but firm and was a delight to sleep in (wished we could take it home).

Great location. 10 minute walk to supermarket. Easy access to motorway. Perfect for functions at Homebush. Room service was great, staff lovely and very helpful.

Downside is the air conditioning system, the water running through it or the pipes is very noisy (even when off). Staff moved me to a new room, air conditioning much quieter but still water noise, not as bad though and grateful to staff for moving me, however after speaking with another guest (who had to sleep with earplugs) it was clear the noise wasn't isolated to the rooms I stayed in.

Would stay again but only after the air conditioning (or water noise from the air conditioners) has been fixed. Otherwise - Great.
