My partner and I checked in on the 4th November after picking up our keys from Vibe Hotel Ruschcutters Bay! We parked our car in the reasonably secure undercover, though small carspace (we had a C200K Merc, not big)!!

The room and furniture had a funky 80's style about it, but was outdated in most areas, we had a ground floor 2bd apartment.

That night after retiring to bed, I was awoken by what sounded like a herd of wild animals charging up the old wooden stairs to the apartments above, fine; tried to get back to sleep, but alas another herd entered the building and charged up the stairs! With my sleep interupted I got out of bed and decided to watch television as I didn't have long to wake anyway, considering it was around 04:40am!!!

At around 06:30am, I had dozed off on the lounge in front of the television, when; yes again, what sounded like a herd of animals thumped noisely across the floor above our apartment, this time I identified them as a young herd, trumpeting at the top of their lungs and thumping backward and forward above us!

This noise woke my partner, who got out of bed mumbling all kinds of expletives the kind readers and moderators of Trip Advisor would care I not repeat! By this time I had enough and thought, ok, we have another two more nights here and what are the options? I rang Vibe Hotel and was immediately put through to the Duty Manager after outlining my complaint to the Vibe Receptionist! I spoke to a very kind and understanding gentleman named Siddharth (Sid) and explained what we experienced. Sid listened and asked if we would like Vibe to send out somebody to speak with the offending herd upstairs, which I declined as everyone knows who've got children, when they're on holidays they are bound to make noise!

By this time I had already prepared to check-out early and told Sid this! Sid offered for me to be patient for at least a half an hour as he would ring around Medina Apartments to enquire if something else was available, I agreed! 15 minutes later Sid was on the phone advising that unfortunately nothing else was available!

I then told Sid that I would check-out and expect a full refund on my credit card for the other two nights pre-paid. Sid was compliant and even insisted he would refund the $15 interest fee applied to my card (very professional, apologetic and sincere person)!

We travelled back to Vibe @Rushcutters Bay to hand our key back, we were met by Sid who immediately refunded transaction from my card! Sid could not apologise enough and was sympathetic to what had happened and advised us that he would speak with Management to see if they needed someone to stay overnight in the apartment to experience what we had!

Long and the short of it, great old building, excellent location, great customer service but they definately need to spend some cash to even attempt to place the word Executive in the Hotels title!

Small but nice apartment with good secure parking in very cool location.

Our family stayed here in December 2010 for 2 nights. No on site management is a big minus as is the off street parking.
The apartment was OK, but not worth the $330 per night that we were charged. The apartment is small and wasn't as clean as it should have been for the price. The furniture could be more comfortable.
It is very close to the Double Bay Shopping Centre and the wharf which will take you to Watsons Bay or the City.

Rats Rats!!
This block has a serious issue with Rats, apparently like the rest of Double bay however each building needs to take a responsibility for their own garbage area.
Bins are overflowing in the garbage area due to lack of adequate bin space.

The apartment block next door has had to take on pest control measures and install many rat traps this you can see as you pass.

Garbage Bins need to be closed to stop these rodents taking over the surrounding areas.
