“Solid 4 star, definitely not 5.”

I recently spent 3 nights at this property in connection with a conference. I asked for an ocean front room, but was told that none were available. If I were traveling for pleasure, that alone would have ruined the entire trip. What's the pleasure in staying at a beachfront property when you can't see the beach? Thankfully, when I got to my room and walked up to the window, I could still see a decent stretch of beach.

The room was spacious, and so spacious that it almost seemed sparse in one corner. Although I didn't need it for this kind of trip, it was nice to have a microwave and mini-fridge - with the family it would have come in handy.

The pool and beach were lovely - although there was some construction going on at the time. For the one short break of meetings I had, I was able to each the poolside service, which was really good.

The conference food was marginal, and I tried the sushi restaurant in the lobby, which was also marginal. I wouldn't put it at the top of my list, but also would not discourage anyone from staying there either. I would definitely give it a second try.

“Nice Beach Hotel”

This is my first ever review.
For a hotel that is directly on the beach Trump International was a good value. The staff was very helpful, my room was clean and comfortable, and the pool was excellent. The service was i bit on the slow side in the restaurant, but freindly. The sushi bar was just ok. I only stayed for two days and it was my first trip ever to the Miami area.
The Hotel was a bit on the far side for the action of South Beach, but i enjoyed the quite of the area.
Hotels on the beach can be rough, but Trump International was clean.
All in all, i would stay again in a minute.

“The staff is nice but the hotel is poor”

I recently stayed at Trump Resort Miami to attend a conference. When I made the reservations I was glad to see that the hotel was member of the distinguished The Leading Hotels of The World, but for my surprise it did not have anything to qualify it for that chain. The old elevators (four that service its 31 floors) were constantly broken. One occasion three of them were out of service and we had to wait a long time to go up or down. Other than that, those old elavators always failed to inform if they were going up or down. The quality of food was poor. No special ammenities as I was expecting of a hotel member of The Leading Hotels of The World. The overall appearance (from the lobby to the rooms) was of a very ordinary hotel. The only positive thing about this hotel, in my opinion, was the staff. They were very nice and kind.

Room Tip: If you take a room with an ocean view, you will be awarded by a very nice view.

“How disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

What a let down! Had higher expectations from a Trump resort. From the outside, looks impressive and also has nice pool-side areas. That's where it ends I'm afraid. This place has the slowest elevators (lifts) on the planet, seemed to be the same issue all day. People waiting and waiting in the lift lobbies, sometimes for 5-10 minutes for a lift to arrive...that's simply not good enough. Someone next to me commented "What would Donald do if he were waiting here?...someone would be fired!" The interiors are nothing special. I've seen nicer Holiday Inns. A lot of the inside looks like an 80's shopping mall in design, check-out the gift-shop and conference area and gym area for example. Maze of bland corridors....cheap...cheap..cheap! As you could imagine, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Room's just OK, nothing special. Windows/doors rattle like hell and maintenance leaves a lot to be desired! Fantastic views from the room though.

Room Tip: Higher floors, ocean views.

“Trump Florida”

On the whole, the hotel was very nice though not as wonderful as I had hoped. I rented a corner suite with an attached room since it was a family getaway. The rooms were wonderful with not only luxurious bedding and incredible views but lovely furniture and a full kitchen. More like a very high end apartment. I was disappointed in the fact that the fixtures and features seemed a bit dated (for instance no ipod dock---though that may not be something that other travelers value) and the toiletries seemed like a 4 star property as opposed to luxury hotel offerings. the staff was exceptionally pleasant and worked to meet luxury standards. The fitness room far exceeded my expectations, especially since it doesn't even merit a picture on the hotel website. That was a great surprise!

Room Tip: If I return, i will definitely ask for the corner deluxe suite that I booked. It was a terrific roo...
