We had the chance to visit quaint little Beaumaris recently and picked The Cleifiog based on the reviews here. It is a lovely, cosy, sumptuous Edwardian (?) home converted to a two bedroom B&B. It is right on the seafront so the fresh sea air wafts in and immediately makes you realise you are nowhere near your workplace or stresses of the day. Our room was so plush and the bed was a dream. You can walk everywhere in town from this location. We spent most of our time exploring and even drove out to Penmon and Newborough, but were always glad to come back for a good kip.
The rooms were spotlessly clean and the breakfasts - oh, the breakfasts! We don't eat meat but they were only too happy to accommodate and offer us veg alternatives. Any place offering a nice veg English breakfast gets my vote! And the lovely woman making our breakfast was a joy. She had a big smile and was up for a chat and a laugh with the guests, which again made it all a perfect little holiday.
The owners are friendly and unintrusive, offering suggestions for places to visit and places to eat out. Their sweet Labrador Retriever was there for a visit and we enjoyed giving her a good cuddle. Just another way this place felt like home away from home!
I've already recommended this place to friends and would gladly come back.
