“Absolutely loved it”

We had the chance to visit quaint little Beaumaris recently and picked The Cleifiog based on the reviews here. It is a lovely, cosy, sumptuous Edwardian (?) home converted to a two bedroom B&B. It is right on the seafront so the fresh sea air wafts in and immediately makes you realise you are nowhere near your workplace or stresses of the day. Our room was so plush and the bed was a dream. You can walk everywhere in town from this location. We spent most of our time exploring and even drove out to Penmon and Newborough, but were always glad to come back for a good kip.

The rooms were spotlessly clean and the breakfasts - oh, the breakfasts! We don't eat meat but they were only too happy to accommodate and offer us veg alternatives. Any place offering a nice veg English breakfast gets my vote! And the lovely woman making our breakfast was a joy. She had a big smile and was up for a chat and a laugh with the guests, which again made it all a perfect little holiday.

The owners are friendly and unintrusive, offering suggestions for places to visit and places to eat out. Their sweet Labrador Retriever was there for a visit and we enjoyed giving her a good cuddle. Just another way this place felt like home away from home!

I've already recommended this place to friends and would gladly come back.

“Beyond our Expectations”

This was the first B&B we stayed in during our week long visit to Anglesey and what a way to start..! The house breathed history and tradition whilst at the same time had a fresh, modern feel to it. The room was stunning - like our own little 'penthouse' with a separate kitchen area, spacious bathroom and the largest bed I had ever seen which still only took up a small proportion of the grand bedroom with a lovely seating area at the far end. Jill, the owner was very friendly and accommodating and cooked a lovely breakfast. We were sad to leave after two nights and would happily have stayed the whole week! Most certainly the best place to stay to explore Beaumaris and the surrounding area..

“The Best Hotel in the world. I want to live there!”

The whole hotel was amazing, There are no words good enough. We stayed for two nights, it felt like we were away for a week. It was the most relaxing hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms were large, Clean, airy and very welcoming (we were in the tapesty room which was lovely!) they were clean and had everything you could possibly need. Gill the owner was brilliant and it felt like we were invited into her home - whilst still having all your privacy and space. The orange juice on the breakfast was so good it was almost worth going for that alone! The whole breakfast was brilliant and catered for every taste. I cannot wait to go back again and again.

“Really loved it!!!”

My partner, our friend and I stayed this weekend - we loved it! We received a warm welcome from Gill on our arrival, followed by tea and biscuits in the cosy lounge. The two rooms we booked were equally impressive; furnished with style and comfort in mind. The location of the property is perfect, with outstanding views and a very short walk from the great amenities in Beaumaris. The breakfast was fab and Mags who looked after us was lovely! Even though the photos of this property show Cleifiog in a positive light, they really do not do it justice; since Gill has taken over this business she clearly has added to the charm, with light clean lines, which provide more of a contemporary feel. If you are looking for classy accomodation with thoughful attention to detail, comfort and soul, in a great location, this is it. Book now - you won't be sorry!
