“Delightful”

This is a very friendly and welcoming hotel. Our room was spotless and very well appointed. Breakfast, which was served in a very pleasant room with views of the bay and castle, was accompanied by an impressive selection of fruits and cereals. Clyn-y-Coed obviously means much more than just a business to Julie and her colleagues. Much thought has been invested to ensure visitors needs are met and they went out of their way to be helpful. We have already recommended the hotel to friends and would certainly return if visiting the area again.

“Great Hotel in Criccieth”

On a recent trip round Wales, we stayed at this hotel in a fabulous first floor room with a wonderful view. From the moment we arrived and were given tea in the garden everything was perfect. We just wish we had longer to stay as all restaurants we visited in Criccieth were outstanding and within easy walking distance too.

Room Tip: Just chat to the owner - she is fabulous!

“Perfect place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2011

I stayed here for just one night during a recent business trip. I found the hotel to be very clean and comfortable. It's in a great location with fantastic views out over the bay and also over to Criccieth Castle. It has a small car park and a garden at the front of the hotel which must be a great place to sit during the summer months. The owner, Julie, was very welcoming and friendly and even though I arrived quite late in the evening there was no problem.
I'd highly recommend this hotel to other people and look forward to returning there in the future.

“A wonderful find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2011

Julie and her staff were most welcoming, helping with luggage, and providing a welcome cup of tea on arrival and suggestions for an evening meal in the town. The breakfasts were great, served quite quickly and efficiently. The room was spotlessly clean, and very well appointed.with wonderful water views. The car park was adequate, and easy to access. Our only disappointment was that the hotel is on a main road, and in season this is quite busy throughout the day, although quiet at night. Jill and Malcolm

“Home from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2011 via mobile

We stayed here for a week in September and couldn't fault it. The front room with sea views was not available but when we got there we were pleased we had the back room, a lovely large family room with separate sitting area. Julie is the perfect hostess, even treating us to tea and cake when we came back from a wet windy day out. The position is great, just a few minutes walk to the town centre which has a surprising number of excellent restaurants. We liked the intimate atmosphere of the Moelwyn best. A great base for exploring Snowdonia and north Wales.
