We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Room is spacious and clean, breakfast is good, location is fantastic. The owner of the hotel was very friendly and told us about the history of the building going back to 14th century. It was very interesting to know that the hotel was a coaching inn on the road from London to Ireland. This hotel is full of character. We'd definitely come back to stay if we're in the area again. Great value for money.

“Most comfortable hotel we've stayed at for years!”

Wonderful to stay in a hotel with some character! It made a change from the usual faceless chains, the host and staff are unfailinglingly friendly and helpful. The simple breakfast menu saves having to take ages to decide what to have and the full Welsh was perfecly cooked and HOT! Yum!! Evening meals are also fairly simple but well cooked and delicious, we didn't see any leftovers!
Location was excellent for sightseeing and after a coupe of days we felt like locals. We would heartily recommend this hotel for it's character, it's friendliness and it's location.
