“Would Return”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 June 2011

The road to the guest house is very narrow with just one lane. We were welcomed by the proprietor who showed us the lounge, breakfast room and patio as well as the brochures available about the area. He told us about hiking and restaurants nearby. The room was large, clean, and newly renovated and it overlooked the back garden. The scene from the window was quite lovely. Wifi was excellent. Breakfast was average. It was a nice place to stay and we would definitely return.

Room Tip: Double and single bed room good.

“Good all-round holiday in lovely surroundings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 August 2010

Our cottage was very well equipped and the owner so very helpful with suggested trips, walks etc. There is lots to do in the Vale of Neath from the beaches of Gower, mountain biking, walks to waterfalls. Even found time for shopping! Kids can't wait to go
again.

“Lovely cottages”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 April 2010

Very helpful and friendly service, the rooms were very clean with great views. Easy to find and just five minute drive from supermarket.

We loved the county feel of these cottages yet so close to all the amenities, I can't say a bad word about the cottage.

I would certainly recommend these cottages to anyone.

“Great weekend in Wales made even better by staying here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 April 2010

I was one of a group of 12 mountain bikers visiting South Wales for a long weekend and we could not have asked for better treatment by the owner and his staff. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfasts superb. The owner was able to offer great advice on locations to visit and he even washed some of our muddy clothes for us. I would definitely recommend this accommodation for mounting bikers or walkers visiting this area.

“Good value for a long weekend in South Wales”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 October 2009

On arrival, the owner made us very welcome and gave us plenty of information about the area to enable us to enjoy weekend away. We had planned to visit the Gower Peninsula, several National Trust properties and local waterfalls, and his advice helped to confirm our choices. The location is quite picturesque and there is lots to do locally - more than we imagined. His advice to use the local pub/restaurant was particularly helpfu as the food and beer were very good.

The lilac-themed bedroom would not have been to everyones taste but was quite, clean and had a good view of the garden and valley. Tea, coffee and biscuits were provided, with fresh milk in the 'f'ridge at the foot of the stairs. The only criticisms were the metal framed bed which creaked constantly when you laid down or turned over and the en suite which was a bit small and and would benefit from some refurbishment.

The breakfast was very good and hearty with plenty of choice and as a result, we didn't need lunch ! Although we didn't use the residents' lounge, this could have been a benefit if the weather had not been so good. We did sit and have a drink in the garden one evening which was a nice end to the day.
