friendly staff good rooms but middle of nowhere, not recommended for tourist wanting to see grace land and Beale street. Clean and cheep with big beds. Right next to a highway trucking passage.. .. .. so good for truckies

As others have said not a very attractive area but may be convenient for your plans. About 6 miles from the airport and on a main route out of Memphis.Two story, car up to the door, room a good size with a small sitting area. Nothing exiting but good value for $60 odd. wireless internet that works and continential breakfast no more than average. There is a small restaurant at the front which is closed at weekends when I was there.

DEPLORABLE place to stay! When we arrived (early evening), the doors to lobby were locked and we had to go to a window with only a small opening to talk into. This was a first for us! I asked if the area was safe; lady replied yes, but we felt anything but safe. We were given a key and a tv remote! Not knowing the Memphis area, we quickly went into our room, locked the doors and hoped for safety. The next morning when we went to breakfast, we found the floors in the lobby torn up - due to remodeling. However, the so-called breakfast?? bar was in the lobby on these dusty floors. On it we found rotton fruit, old muffins, a breakfast that no one would want to eat.
As we left, I asked for lotion. The only toiletries in the room was a small bottle of shampoo. The clerk gave me a lotion - expiration date JUNE '06.
I WOULD ABSOLUTELY DRIVE HRS. BEFORE EVER STAYING IN THIS DUMP AGAIN! IT WASN'T CHEAP EITHER. I'm so surprised Best Western hasn't investigated this site. Certainly doesn't look good for Best Western standards.

I've stayed at many hotels,but none compare to the Bestwestern in Memphis Tenn in the airport area,The staff was so friendly and very helpful They have a front dest clerk by the name of KATRINA thats fantastic u should go and experience the down home feelin of Memphis Tenn.
