I have to agree with the most recent review. I wasn't frightened to be in the room, and was fine during the day. I did not feel like my (rental) car was in any peril. However, like a lot of places, I wouldn't walk around the streets at night.

Very close to the 55 freeway, minutes to Graceland, a few more minutes to downtown Memphis and Sun Studios.

The rooms are old and mine smelled like it used to be smoking and had a recent pine treatment to attempt to mask the odor.

There is no desk, so I had to sit on the couch and have my laptop on my laptop or on the coffee table. The wireless internet was easy to access, but even with 3 seperate connections available the speed varied from medium to low.
I wouldn't recommend this for someone who has to work more than a few hours in the room.

The air conditioners are all new, and you can tell that the current owners are refurbishing the rooms and property.

The continental breakfast was just ok.

I asked for wake up calls 2 days in a row and the phone never rang. Stupid me, I didn't check to see if the ringer was on, but I would expect the maids to take care of that. Guess I didn't pay for smart maids. (I always set the alarm on my cell phone just in case).

Overall the room was pretty clean. One gross thing though....in the shower there is a soap dish above my eye level (i'm 6' tall). I don't know why it's there but when I looked at the top it was very nasty. I wonder why the heck is it over 6' from the bottom of the tub and why has it never been cleaned?

I was only in town for my daughter's graduation for about 2.5 days. If I didn't need to work in the room and was in and out like most people do in Vegas, this would be ok. Having to work 4 hours in the room was pretty uncomfortable.

The reviews that say this hotel is unsafe or a rip off are not the experience we had. I wouldn't go walking around the neighborhood alone at night but the hotel itself seemed fine. The room was very clean. Sheets and bedding seemed new. There was even free breakfast. There was some traffic noise and occasionally we could hear planes take off since it is close to the airport but overall it was quiet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Graceland and I would stay here again without hesitation. Very good value for the price.

I called the hotel to book a couple of rooms for our church convention (COGIC) and the rate that was online was $45. The guy had the nerve to tell me the rooms were $115-$145. CAN YOU SAY SCAM!!!! SCAM!!!!! SCAM!!!! He then stated he would cut me a deal for $89.99. How in the world are you going to charge the same price as the Marriott Downtown Memphis when clearly this "MOTEL" is a hottttttttttttttttttttttttttttt messsssssssssssssss. Please Please be careful if your trying to book a room at this motel. I always always look at the reviews before I book a room and everyone was right about this hotel. The owner is crazy. The only reason I was going to book this hotel was because some people in my group are cheap so I guess you get what you pay for. DO NOT BE SCAMMED!!!!!!! WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never got to stay here. What a rip off!!!!! I was going to be in town for a church convention. The desk worker tried to charge me $145 for a $45 room. He said that all the hotels would be charging around the same price because of the COGIC convention. When I explained that I had seen his regular prices online, he proceeded to say that all the rooms online are booked and people would be willing to stay at his hotel 5-6 nights for the rates and that he could cut them a deal of $115/night. This is such an unfair practice that this hotel is using to abuse possible customers. I thanked him and promptly hung up. I would not stay here or recommend this place to anyone!!!! If they are that bold in their crooked policies (shall I say lack of policies), what else are these people capable of????
