The first night, our room had a soaking wet carpet by the air conditioning unit, but stayed because we were tired. Next morning the tub leaked all over the floor and the outlets were so old that the plug for our curling iron or coffee maker wouldn't stay in. Asked for new room and got it; noticed it still needed cleaning but we left for sightseeing and assumed it would be cleaned on our return. When we got in at 8 P.M., it had NOT been cleaned. The desk clerk informed us it was OUR fault for not letting them know the room needed cleaning, and the only rooms left were smoking ones. So we were stuck with a dirty room (although they did give us new sheets) and no price adjustment was offered. Why was it our fault we didn't get a clean room?? Don't they have a procedure to ensure that all rooms are cleaned after someone stays in them? Don't they communicate with each other? Very annoyed and disgusted, will not stay in any Baymont Inn again.
