In the heart of the city, real people, real music, real food!

We felt very secure at this location. Beale Street can be a bit scary at night with all the bars and strangers on the street, but we the "card in" system to enter into the hotel, we felt very secure once we walked back to our lobby. The elevator, ice machine and laundry room, and exercise and pool area cannot be accessed without the card and we really like that. (Since we are former police officers.)

Hotel is a short block from the heart of Beale Street and yet is quiet and refined. A first class hotel with true southern hospitality. One of the friendliest places I've stayed. Within to minutes of arriving, six people had said welcome to Memphis. I felt completely safe the whole time I was here. They have a standard (though very good) Hampton breakfast which is a cut above the donut and coffee most places call breakfast. Room was clean and spacious. And again, with a couple of blocks of Beale Street, Rock and Soul Museum, Gibson Guitars and Sun Records. A perfect spot to explore Memphis from

I was a little worried about the safety of my stuff in my vehicle, but when I saw that they have an overnight security guard for the parking garage that eased my mind alot.
