PROS: Excellent location --on the trolley line ($1 a ride) to all tourist attractions downtown, also on a pretty public square, and a couple blocks from the Mud Island pedestrian bridge. Lovely decor and comfy beds. The staff was polite and welcoming.
CONS: The potentially excellent view of the river and bridge was blocked by the huge neon Courtyard sign, which was flush to the left of our window. Bathroom was large, but there were numerous hairs from multiple people on the floor. Was charged $13.11 for a $5 unguarded, off-site parking garage. (The explanation by the hotel that this is the garage's "overnight charge" conflicts with the statement of the garage clerk, who told me that $5 is the 24-hour flat rate.) And although our stay was covered by loyalty points, my credit card was "authorized" with 3 separate charges totaling $70, which have not yet been removed.
Luckily, we were not there for downtown fun, not the view from the room, and I took care of the repugnant hair myself, then spread towels that probably went through bleach and hot water on the bathroom floor.
NOTE: Be careful of valet parking, because although it is "only" $15 as other reviewers mention, you will be charged for two consecutive calendar days if overnight, according to the desk clerk, (This was not volunteered information; I had to ask for it.)
All this being said, I would definitely book a stay here again for the location and value overall.
Room Tip: Ask for a view. Otherwise, you could be overlooking urban ugliness.

Thanks for telling us about your stay. Sorry for the confusion with parking. Parking is a daily charge. We offer both self parking and valet parking and cars are parked in the same garage. The garage we use does offer a daily rate of $5 from 6am until 5pm. However, there is no in and out for $5 as with the hotel daily charge and cars parked overnight are charged the daily self parking rate charged to hotel guests.
