My husband and I stayed at the Vista Inn Motel for 3 nights in early January. The location is terrific only a couple of minutes walk to Beale St. We were visiting during the quiet season, so the streets were empty at night, however it's safe to get around Downtown on foot.
Bed was comfy and the area was quiet. Only cons were had to ask for a restock of fresh towels andtoilet paper, some of the towels were old and had with the previous user's hair intertwined in the fabric, and there is a fee of $5 per person to have bags stored at reception at check out. Otherwise; everything else was fine. The hotel is pretty basic, but that's what you get for a 2 star accomodation. It was clean, safe and in a good part of town and that's all we wanted.
