This was formally a Holiday Inn, and as I understand it, the hotel couldn't make the grade and was sent on it's own. It shows too. There was a group of us and all had similar experiences.
A hole in one rooms wall was covered over by only wall paper - no wallboard.
Smoke free - but either the smell of smoke or uncleaned floors reeked throughout.
No on site bar. Only a restaurant with limited choices.
Front desk staff was helpful and caring - but they aren't the ones to make changes. The owners need to do that.
We drove and our rental was one of 10 cars/trucks broken into the first night. All in plain view of the entrance. No, mgt. didn't accept the responsibility. Maybe because someone on property was in on it. Stay away.
Room Tip: Room 250 is a corner suite, two room set up. Large living room table and sofabed.

Memphis Airport Hotel & Conference Center was formerly a Holiday Inn Select. The former owners did lose the franchise after missing a renovation deadline from the franchise. The hotel has an 80% complete renovation. The current owner took possession in late July and has plans to complete and enhance the renovation plans.
The hotel does have a few smoking rooms but all other areas are non-smoking. These few rooms honor a pre-existing contract. The new owner will make the hotel 100% smoking during the renovation process.
The restaurant menu is currently under review by our new Executive Chef and he is upgrading and improving menu items. The bar will reopen soon once specific issues carried over from the previous owners are cleared up.
The hotel management apologizes again to the guests that had cars broken into during this particular weekend. The management is working closely with local police to identify the culprits using the footage from hotel surveillance cameras. Additional security measures have been put in place to prevent reoccurrences.
