My husband and I recently went to Memphis for a little get away over the Memorial Day weekend. We secured a room at the Peabody via Luxurylink.com. We got an amazing price for a 3 night stay, and without using the site, the hotel was showing that they had no rooms available. We stayed on the 11th floor in an Executive King room. The room was as large as most suites we stay in, however there was not a wall separating the living and bedroom. The room and the hotel were immaculate! Service was over the top, and I should also mention the hotel was almost at maximum capacity.
Several days prior to my arrival I contacted Scott Boucher, Manager of the Peabody Memphis. He has listed his phone number here on Trip Advisor, as he personally tries to respond to reviews. I left him a message and within 24 hours he personally called me back. He helped me secure the room of my choice, and also helped me organize a bottle of champagne to be delivered upon my arrival. Now folks this is SERVICE! I also received calls daily from the VIP Service Manger to ask if we needed anything to make our stay more enjoyable. These guys are literally asking you to make use of their service.
I had breakfast in the room on Friday morning while my husband attended to some business. It did take almost an hour to arrive, but my coffee and Eggs Benedict were piping hot and delicious.Remember the hotel was extremely full, and my food was hot.
Valet Parking was very busy, but it ran very smoothly. Everyone was polite and professional upon arrival. Each time we departed, we would call valet from our room and ask for the car to be brought around. By the time we walked outside, our car was always there. (NO WAITING).
The lobby bar is beautiful, and the bartenders fall right in step when it comes to the standards set for service at the Peabody. You can sit and sip a glass of cold champagne while you watch those famous Peabody Ducks swim and splash around the Lobby fountain.
This hotel has it all, and I will never stay at another hotel in Memphis other than the Peabody ever again! You really, really must go.
Room Tip: You can upgrade to the Concierge Floor on the 12th floor for only $50.00 a day. This price includes...
