The lobby of this hotel was spectacular, with a grand floral arrangement , exquisite wood grain furnishings and glorious paino serenading you as you enjoy a drink at the bar, have tea and desserts in the lobby bistro or are just walking through the lobby. The hotel is grand and expansive with multiple stores where one can browse or buy a multitude of souvenirs, clothing or antiques. One can even shop where Elvis shopped.
The location was ideal , close to Beale street, the river bank , and FedEx forum, the home of the Memphis Grizzlies.
The room was large and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful. I loved the in-hotel coffee bar with the most incredible desserts.
My only complaint is that due to the expansive size of this property, the signage should be more plentiful. It is easy to get turned around trying to find the skywalk to the parking deck, or trying to find the health club
I never got to see the infamous duck walk, as we were enjoying the city attractions at the times when they are in the lobby. so plan to be around at 11 am and 5 pm
Room Tip: Get a club level room or a corner room
