This wasn't our first choice for a hotel in Memphis, but we booked our trip on the weekend of the St. Jude's Marathon, and got locked out of most other places on the Saturday. But it was perfectly acceptable, and fine.
Breakfast was a bit iffy. Things ran out and weren't replaced. But I was happy enough with the coffee.
The Comfort Inn has free wifi. (Never stay in a hotel that doesn't have free wifi.)
It has parking for a fee, but we decided cabs to & from the airport and Graceland would be about the same cost as renting a car. And if we had not taken a cab, we would not had met Roy, a character and a half of a cab driver.
Beale Street is a bit naff. It wants to be Bourbon Street (New Orleans) but falls short. So much so, we even preferred to drink in Hooters.
Whatever you do, do NOT miss the Civil Rights Museum. It is one of the best museums I have ever been in. I don't want to spoil it - Martin Luther King - Lorraine Motel - but go there. It is on Mulberry Street, between S. 2nd Street, and S. Main Street, 6 blocks south of Beale Street.
