Checked in -- wish I had walked in and cancelled. The odor in the room was horrendous. Tried opening the window to air, however when closing the window the odor accumulated to the point that it would give you a headache.

It was a nicely decorated room and spacious with a wonderful showerhead but just can't understand the odor. Tried an air freshner but to no avail -- just go somewhere else. I assure you that it's worth more than the odor (possibly a spray they use).

We were traveling from Texas to Ohio and stopped off in Memphis area. The room was very clean...shower was hot and lots of water pressure. There was nice clean comfy beds, fridge, table and chairs. And not sure what others were complaining about breakfast...they have waffle station, jimmie dean breakfast sandwiches, danishes, bagels, bisquits and gravy, oj apple juice coffee, tea bags, yogurt, fruit. so like i said tons of choices and everything was good. The pool was little but great for my 5 year old. she had a great time. My daughter cut her toe after leaving the pool...and went to lobby the women working there took us in the back got her a chair opened a medicine cabinet with tons of bandaids, gauze etc..told me to take what i needed. I thought everyone and everthing was great and the price was too!!! Safety wise..may not be greatest area off the beaten path but where the hotel was felt very safe and there was memphis police around everywhere. Thanks :)

Outside of the hotel looked decent, lady at the front desk was nice and helpful (the pool was closed for cleaning but they notified us as soon as it opened so my 5 year old could go swimming). At first glance, room looked clean and was a nice size...2 queen beds, fridge, desk, couch etc. BUT....the couch, blankets on the beds, and carpet were wet, not soaking, but very very damp..the room was so humid and musty/sticky that I put my suitcase out in the trunk of my car so my clothes wouldnt get damp and smelly. Also, when we flushed the toilet (in the teeny tiny bathroom with no vent), the noise was so loud/long running that it woke up my son twice. The breakfast was okay except the hard boiled eggs...they tasted like they had been last weeks leftovers and they made my dad gag. This was my first trip to Memphis and I will NEVER go back. 80% of the city is run down, abandoned buildings and closed down businesses, high weeds/grass/grafiti everywhere. We stopped to see Elvis' house and felt unsafe walking down the street. Definately NOT what I had expected.

Room looked very nice when we first walked in and then the ants starting showing up shortly thereafter. There were ants on the tables, sheets, pillowcases, etc. I also saw ants by the ice machine in the vending area. One time we saw more than 20 ants on the table and there wasn't any food on it. They also have the worst breakfast. No muffins, danishes, oatmeal or english muffins. Biscuits were hard as a rock and gravy was cold. Waffle batter was very runny and wasn't edible. When we came back to the room in the afternoon both of our keys didn't work. We left a note for housekeeping not to clean the room or make the bed just leave toiletries, towels, etc. They moved our note to the table and disregarded it. The room was made up as if we had already checked out. We only stayed 2 days and had to get out of there. They also tried to charge us for a safe and warranty. Watch your receipt carefully as they charge for this daily and it shows up separately on the receipt. The swimming pool looked very dirty so it wasn't an option to use it. We also never saw any other guests using the swimming pool. We complained to Choice Hotels and we received a credit for one nights hotel stay.
