This is a great facility - large rooms, comfortable bed (we had a king), great shower, big desk, sofa, good TV, microwave, refrigerator, free internet. One thing: the entire facility would be better if smoke-free. Upon check-in, we were mistakenly given a smoking room (ugh!). This was quickly rectified by very courteous & apologetic staff (thank goodness there was smoke-free room available). Breakfast was simple, but fine (cereal, fruit, pastries, MYO waffles, coffee/juice/milk). Will definitely stay here again.

A friend, my dog and I stayed at La Quinta Inn & Suites Memphis Primacy Parkway for one night at the end of December 2011 during a cross-country road trip. We chose the chain because of their pets at no extra fee policy, and we were pleasantly surprised by the terrific accommodations. The rooms were large, the beds comfortable, and the location quiet. We stayed at two other La Quinta properties on our trip (Lincoln, Nebraska; Casper, Wyoming), and although all locations provided the same great service and free breakfast, the Memphis Primacy Parkway had a little extra style. I wish I had taken a shampoo—the fresh citrus scent definitely helped us “wake up on the bright side” of each La Quinta morning.

Bad experience. To sum it up,,,we ended up in 3 different rooms. 1st -smoke choked you when you got off the elevator and even worse in room. 2nd -no remote and bathroom floor had trash on it. The bathroom hand towel was dirty. Got remote but didn't work. Ended up the TV didn't work. Got a 3rd room by 3pm the second day. Everyone was nice and apologetic. Made half a dozen trips to front desk and too many calls to the front desk to get the 3rd room. Really had to work to stay here.

We stayed two nights and rented two non-smoking king size bedrooms. Both rooms were very large, the beds were really comfortable as were the pillows. The bathroom was clean and the shower was very nice. The vanity was large with lots of space. What was really nice if you want to sleep in were the shades that darken the room in the morning. Our 4th floor was quiet, but had a slight smell of cigarette smoke although it is a non-smoking floor.

The breakfast was just OK, but again the price of the rooms was very reasonable. They had breakfast cereals, apples and oranges, yogurt, bagels, hard boiled eggs,and bisquicks. Also, maybe waffles to order. The coffee was fairly good.

Reception when we arrived on a rainy night was OK. There are a few simple cosmetic fixes that could be done around the halls to help the appearance of the motel.
