We stayed two nights and rented two non-smoking king size bedrooms. Both rooms were very large, the beds were really comfortable as were the pillows. The bathroom was clean and the shower was very nice. The vanity was large with lots of space. What was really nice if you want to sleep in were the shades that darken the room in the morning. Our 4th floor was quiet, but had a slight smell of cigarette smoke although it is a non-smoking floor.

The breakfast was just OK, but again the price of the rooms was very reasonable. They had breakfast cereals, apples and oranges, yogurt, bagels, hard boiled eggs,and bisquicks. Also, maybe waffles to order. The coffee was fairly good.

Reception when we arrived on a rainy night was OK. There are a few simple cosmetic fixes that could be done around the halls to help the appearance of the motel.

Staff friendly, helpful, rooms clean, accommodating to to pets, good location, and would stay again.

When visiting Memphis, the big question is: do we stay downtown (to trully enjoy the night life)or not? If you've decided NOT to stay downtown (it is expensive...), this hotel has everything you need: fair room rate, very decent breakfast, free parking, decent neighborhood, the interstate is not too far / not too close... Graceland / Downtown are 20 minutes away (traffic was light). Check in was a little slow, but no biggie... A good pick overall.

We always try to stay at La Quita hotels because we are generally happy with the accomadations, price and general stay. This one however was NOT a good stay. When we arrived, after check-in we went to the back entrance by the elevator close to our room. On the outside of the door was an overflowing garbage can "stinking". Upon entering the hotel there was another overflowing garbage can that was worse than the outside one. We reported this FOUR times and they were not taken care of until after 9am the next morning and when they removed the ones inside there was still wet stinch on the flloor from leaking garbage. When we entered our first assigned room the toilet had not been flushed, there was toothpaste spit on the mirror and sink and the refrigerator had some sort of leaked food on the bottom. We requested another room and it was clean. We stayed two days and when I came back to my room after noon the second day the maid had just cleaned it and was in the next room and I noticed that we had no new coffee packs and that she had not cleaned the coffee pot nor emptied the grounds. I asked her if I could have more coffee and why she had not cleaned the pot and she said that ONE customer had fussed at her in the past about emptying the pot when he still wanted his coffee so she never cleaned the pot in all of the rooms. My guess is she is just too lazy or forgot. I said I was a customer who appreciated her pot washed and went back in my room. She promptly called down to the front dest and excplained the situation and said she was "coverting her behind". I could hear all of this through the door and I opened my door and said that she BETTER cover her behind. When we went to check out the manager had charged us two different prices for the Friday and Saturday nights and I informed him that I booked on line and it was the same price. After almost 20 minutes of arguing and excuses he finally agreed to charge me what the online charge was and what I was promised. It was PAINFUL to say the least. I will continue to stay at this chain but NEVER at this one.
