“Great night away!”

My husband and I spent a night here and it was fantastic! Very comfy and warm room, excellent atmosphere and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner (in the lounge area) - I can certainly recommend the venison casserole! The staff were helpful to a fault and we will certainly return, possibly with our pooch next time as its doggie friendly!

Oh and breakfast was great too!

“brilliant weekend stay...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

I was one of a large party of ten who had booked to stay at the Clachaig Inn last weekend,we arrived early on the saturday intent on making the most of the day there and in the surrounding area the staff were extremely helpful on arrival at 10.30am, allowing us to leave belongings etc in one of the rooms until the other rooms were ready.
We gathered at midday and had a very hearty freshly made tasty lunch served attentively by staff to our group.
After some vigorous outdoors walks and hillclimbs in the fabulous local glencoe surroundings we met again in the bar to reward ourselves with well earned drinks from their terrific rage of ales, beers and the odd loveley very welcoming malt!
At all times the staff were always very pleasant and attentive whether serving food or drink or assisting us with suggestions for local walks etc
We spent saturday night in a packed warm boots bar listening to some great live music from a local band and ate their too.
The rooms were very comfortable with all that we needed for our stay..we left on the sunday after a hearty cooked breakfast and decided to return in the summer .
A fantstic stay that all wished had been longer..we will be back!

“even a 2 star establishment should have heating”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

i was with a previous reviewer without the heating and want to comment on another review that says it is a 2 star establishment,

even a two star establishment should have heating in minus conditions and it was rather odd that after the staff telling us that the boiler was broken going back to the room to find it on then off again an hour later.

i have been before and found this visit highly dissapointing, the bar shut at strange times, and the staff seemed to change there story 5 seconds after giving us an answer,

we only got to see the new boots bar on our last day and I must say it looked fantastic, although i was charged more than my friend was which was odd,

I hope that if I ever go back again these comments would have been worked on.

and I would recommend that you get a room in the main hotel

“A great wee gem hidden in the Scottish Glens”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

3rd time at the Clachaig Inn and we just love it. The setting is pretty spectacular, good wholesome food, excellent breakfast, range and choice of drinks extremely well catered for and we found the staff very friendly and helpful. Yes, there will be the odd small glitch in a 2 Star establishment and everything wasn't perfect. The shower was a bit tempramental in the morning (heat wise), it would be good if the bar stayed open a little later, the band were a bit out of tune (we would have preferred some uplifting "Proclaimers" among other covers, to get the crowd going) as opposed to bland ballad after ballad, oh and I demand the management arrange for 3 feet of fresh powder (Snow that is) every year, and it must last a min of 4 months! Get a grip, I think my fellow reviewier fell out the wrong side of bed with the rant posted earlier! It's a 2 star, not the Ritz Carlton. I'm sure if we stayed in a 2 star in Colombia it wouldn't even have aircon! So if you have managed to read this far, don't listen to me or the other ranter, give it a go yourself, you certainly won't forget your trip to the World Famous Clachaig Inn or Glencoe for that matter!

P.S. Apolgise to the barmaid that took 4 attempts to get me off the table on Saturday night, I got lost in the guitar solo!

Room Tip: I've only stayed in Room 4 and its lovely, with a bath, and yes if I wasn';t so hung over I...

“It's a must do pub.”

We have just returned from another nights stay at the Claichaig Inn. We have been coming to the Clachaig Inn for many years normally staying at the local campsite, but over the last few years we have decided to start staying in the hotel and we have not been disappointed yet.

It was great to see that the Clachaig has been recently done up especially in the boot bar, it makes the place a lot brighter an we think you could probably get more people in. We stayed in room 12, with a cracking view right down Glencoe itself, the food was great as usual, the staff were very friendly and the band Twister were pretty good considering that it was their first time playing at the Clachaig.

Like many others that go to the Clachaig we have recommended this place to our friends and family over and over again.

We will definitely be back soon with our new t-shirts on! haha.
