We traveled from Stoke on the friday afternoon for a wedding the next day. Due to the time we were able to set off we didn't arrive here until 10pm, but we were still met by a friendly and very helpful lady who showed us to our rooms, explained the whole process before leaving us for the night. The following morning we were greeted by another lovely lady who made us a fantastic breakfast with as much toast etc as we could ever want.

My gran felt a little ill this first day (I think the long drive had been a bit hard on her), but once again the staff here were amazing - even moved her to a room on the lowest floor so she didn't have to go up so many steps. They took her tea and toast too!

We stayed for 2 nights in total and were so happy with everything. The rooms were lovely and clean, there were tea / coffee making items in the rooms (inc biscuits!) . The breakfasts were lovely and owners / staff were helpful and lovely people who go above and beyond on any guests requests. Location is great and we all loved our stay.

We stayed here for one night, in order to catch the early ferry to Belfast. Arrived late on a wild night to a very friendly welcome, large, comfortable room, and a great sleep. Breakfast the next morning was very nice, and our request to have it early was accommodated without any problems.
Would definitely stay here again.

Lakeview Guesthouse is a clean, convenient, well-decorated accommodation in this small coastal town. It is perfect for those just off the ferry from Ireland. The Logans are wonderful people who take you under their wing and treat you like family, and the breakfast was scrumptious. I can't say enough good things about Lakeview, and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend staying here!

After staying in hostels for 2 weeks,I needed my own space and some downtime to just relax, Lakeview was a welcomed treat. What I didn't expect was the amazing Breakfast, great hospitality and feeling like I was home all for such a great price!!! I'm embarrassed to say I payed more for a hostel in Dublin.

I booked this place on the ferry from Belfast to Stranraer, it was a bit of a last minute decision not to continue on to Edinburgh right away. Once I checked in I wanted to stay another day but they were all booked up. Elaine took it upon herself to find me somewhere else to stay and even drove me there in the morning!!!! I couldn't believe how above and beyond she went and how much she cared!

If your planning to pass through or visit Stranraer I highly recommend staying a night or two with Alan and Elaine, If your not planning a trip or passing through Stranraer I recommend you do, so you can spend at least a night here!

The decor was very nice. The decorating looked professionally done! Very Eloquent, felt like home.

If I'm ever back in this part of the world I will stay here again for sure!
