My husband and I recently stayed at East Challoch Farm while we were touring Dumfries and Galloway. Joan welcomed us to her very comfortable home where we were excellently looked after. Our double room was enormous with dual aspect windows giving us lovely views of Luce Bay, the farm and gardens. It also had a sofa, useful for watching TV. The warm bathroom had a large bath, and as there was no shower, a plastic jug was provided for hair washing. On the first night Joan cooked us a very tasty meal, and the next morning we were treated to a wholesome farmhouse breakfast. If you are looking for a quiet, comfortable farmhouse stay, you could do no better than stay here, only a stone's throw from Stranraer.
