My wife and I stayed here in September 2011 and had a lovely time. We booked through LateRooms.com and spent 4 nights at the hotel. The staff were lovely, the food was excellent and the position of the hotel was superb. Our room, No. 5, was at the side with views over the golf course and the sea. Ok, the beds were a little tired but we were assurred that new mattresses were planned this winter. We too ate dinner in the bar and didn't see this as a problem. We often spoke with the Manager and found him to be pleasant and very helpful. Overall, we Manxies had a great break and will be back to test out the beds!

My fiance & I spent this weekend at the Powfoot Golf Hotel, having booked all of their rooms for our wedding next September. We were nervous on arrival about the choice we have made for our wedding breakfast and celebrations, but our nerves melted away very quickly. The staff were very busy this weekend with several functions going on, but were very efficient, friendly and helpful. The evening meal we had there was excellent, and the self service breakfast was a winner with us too, offering enormous choice and great quality. There is no question that the hotel requires some updating, the shower in our room was simply a mixer tap which was a bit fiddly to get the temperature right with poor water pressure, but the room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We are now satisfied that we have made a good choice for our wedding celebrations and are looking forward to our return visit next year and are full of confidence that our wedding will be all that we are hoping for and more. Thank you to the staff for making our stay very comfortable and enjoyable this weekend.

This hotel was in lovely settings,the rooms were great and food ok,the only thing that was not up to scratch was the manager !!!!!!!

We used this Hotel as a base for attending a wedding in the area. The rooms were large and it would have been great if there was a king size bed because there was plenty room. The wardrobe smelt slightly damp with a variety of hangers but this didn't trouble us as there was hanging space outside the wardrobe. The ensuite was very small and very dated but there was always hot water available and it was clean. The staff were very welcoming and ready to do anything to make the stay comfortable. Chef even started our evening meal early one night so that we could leave earlier to get to our evening reception. Food was excellent.
