“great little bed and breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

I stayed here when I couldnt get in to the crown hotel. Im usually not keen on bed and breakfast hotels especially as Im often by myself and like to just shut my door when I get to the hotel, this was a great experience the lady who owned it (diane ) was expectiing me as id just been redirected here, and she couldnt do enough for me, all i want in a hotel is a clean quiet room and a comfortable bed , anything else is a bonus, I had a great view over the village and the room was very comfortable and really big just for me, diane insisted I came down to the bar for a drink which I did and had a beer in a very cozy bar , it seemed to be made up of locals and golfers , a nice atmosphere. I didnt eat here as I was off to the crown for dinner but the breakfast next day could possibly be the best english breakfast I have ever eaten, the staff couldnt do enough for me and i loved staying here in this little fishing village and really enjoyed my stay in this b and b and will be back in the spring with my girlfriend. totally recommend

Room Tip: make sure you walk up the hill to loo at the ruins of the castle

“In desperate need of some TLC”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012 via mobile

The accommodation is disappointing. The whole hotel is in some need of alot of TLC.
The room I stayed in was very mish mash... No bedside tables shoddy fixtures and fittings.
We were ask if we would like our room cleaned but feel it should be done on a daily basis as standard
None of the bins in the room were emptied
We asked for clean towels and the lady said she would bring them up to the room..... But we never got them as was the same when we asked for toilet roll.
But on a positive note the food was very good.
All in all I won't be rushing back to stay hear
Which is a shame as the place has got such a massive potential to be one of the best holes in portpatrick.

“Only eaten but nice experience”

My wife and I have eaten here on several occasions as we are only a 40 mile drive away,we have always been made welcome as we enter the bar area where a fine choice of meals are served from the menu and the specials board, the meals are served hot, fresh and with a smile, there is also a log fire which ads to the overall warm feel of the adequate dining area.If you are lucky enough to get the window table you can view Ireland over the sea, sensibly there is the provision of binoculars for those who want a better view.

“Only eaten here.....Very Good though”

On our last two trips to Port Patrick we have had an evening meal here and on both occasions the food and service has been excellent. The location of the hotel is high up and over looks the sea, so book the window table if eating just before dusk! Sally behind the bar is very good at her job, but one word of warning she will talk you in to having a naughty pudding even if you don't want one! The intrerior design is very interesting and looks splendid when all lit up with candles and a roaring fire in the grate. Great place to eat and drink.

“Great Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2011

I would like to thank Diane and her staff for the service they provided for us during our weekend break at the hotel, when i called to book for two rooms at the hotel for the Sept Weekend Diane had said that one of the rooms was a standard but would upgrade to a larger suite the following day and true to her word we were both upgraded at no extra cost, and the rooms were excellent both with sea views. the food was excellent and the service came with a smile. the views from the hotel overlooking the sea and portpatrick were stunning and to watching the sunset. the locals who also frequent the hotel were very pleasant. great weekend

Thank you once again.

Don Kesson

Room Tip: if available choose a sea view
