“FULLY INTERNATIONAL”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

Not often you get English hoteliers catering for Irish visitors over for a Burns Supper! And doing it very well too.
The owners have carried out an excellent improvement scheme recently and it has been well worthwhile. Gives the choice of Hotel accommodation and the option of several self catering apartments, all finished to a great standard.
We'll be back in April for our annual golf match with Dunskey.

Room Tip: Book early and ask for rooms 4 & 5

“Burns Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

We stayed at the Harbour House Hotel in a party of 8 for the weekend and as regular visitors to the area through our connection with Portpatrick and Dunksy Golf Club we were very impressed. Four of our party stayed in the recently refurbished rooms which were nothing short of excellent, while the other 4 stayed in the just opened (for us) apartments. Well, what can we say, Robert and co, you have really done yourselves proud. The standard of the apartments is second to none, absolutely fabulous. We were asked what improvements could be made, but could not think of any!! They were perfect.
The food and drink were excellent and the staff (and fellow customers) were extremely friendly and welcoming.
If you are in the area, do not pass this place....absolutely brilliant.

Room Tip: At present being refurbished, but any of the new rooms and especially the apartments are fabulous...

“New Years Eve Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

We booked into the Harbour House Hotel for 3 nights over the New Year. Very warm welcome from the manager and his staff. Excellent value for money. We stayed in one of the recently refurbished room which was really nice with a great view of the harbour. We were on a bed, breakfast and evening meal package and the food was really nice with a good variety to choose from .. we would definitely go back and would have no hesitation recommending this hotel.

Room Tip: Room 5 had a great view of the harbour

“Friendly boutique hotel”

We stayed in a newly refurbished room on the corner with a stunning view. A warm greeting by a friendly staff set the tone for a lovely stay. The hotel has a great location in beautiful Portpatrick. Breakfast was plentiful and freshly cooked. The owner made us feel most welcome and I would happily stay here again.

“Loved it !”

On arrival in Portpatrick my wife and I had not booked into anywhere to stay, The Harbour House Hotel looks as good as anywhere so we gave it a try.
I have to say that we are both glad we did, the staff and everyone in the hotel were most friendly and attentive and the room we were given, room 4, had been newly refurbished and was very comfortable, the en-suite bathroom, also newly refurbished, included a double size power shower, a really nice touch.
The day we arrived the village received a new Lifeboat (a real focus for the village) and the Harbour House had a party atmosphere about it, with all the crew in attendance. My wife and I knew nothing of this event but it made no difference to the staff and locals who immediately “took us into the fold” and plied us with great free food and hospitality.
We were only planning on staying 2 nights anywhere but ended up with 3 (it would have been more but I had return to work) the food was great, the atmosphere was great, the locals were great (that's for Sam ;-) and the staff and the owners could not have made a Yorkshire couple feel more welcome (that's for you Robert and Mary :-)
We are planning on returning next year, with my brother and his wife, for my birthday but will book it this time to make sure we get in.
