I stayed last year in July in this small Dollar hotel in Clackmannanshire (Scotland). Everything was perfect, beds, food, service. I enjoyed it and will come back this July again.

Recently had an evening meal with friends at the Castle Campbell hotel. Found the food overall quite acceptable with the exception of a rib eye steak course. The steak was so tough it could not be cut with a steak knife. A complaint was made and a verbal apology received.
Following the sweet course, coffee was served with absence of mints, chocs or nibbles of some sort. The bill was requested and it was noted that the steak course had been charged at full price despite being returned to the kitchen intact. For the food received I would regard the price as excessive and without recompense for the poor quality steak I feel the management showed inconsideration for clientele. I would not recommend dining at this hotel.

I got married at Castle Campbell, in July, But had nearly my whole family staying at Castle Campbell hotel.
From the first time we met Katie and her staff till the moment we left as a married couple they were fantastic, Katie helped me with lots of planning, always happy to help and i never felt i was a bother to her, im sure i must have been though.
we took over nearly the whole hotel, the whole weekend and no one batted an eye lid! food was fab, i had the scrambled egg & salmon on the morning of the wedding and it set me right for the day!! it was lovely.
Katie did everything she could to help me, even when she lent me 60 champagne flutes, that we forgot to bring back to her, she went and collected them for us. every thing about our stay was excellent!! the new decor is much better, it was indeed needing some TLC!

We used to go to the Castle Campbell Hotel regularly but our last visit in Spring of 2010 was spoiled by the appalling attitude of the then manageress who appeared to be more interested in drinking with her friends than dealing with customers, and we decided not to return.

We'd heard recently that the hotel was under new management and WOW! what a difference. The staff are friendly & polite and our Sunday lunch was terrific & very good value. Some interesting paintings in the dining room too.

We'll definitely be going back.
