I stayed at the Castle Campbell with my baby daughter, while attending a funeral and could not thank the staff enough. When I arrived, I had a minor emergency, my daughter was in dire need of a change of clothes and needed feeding. I rushed in and asked for baby changing and was quickly shown the way. Then we checked in. I had called a few days before to check they had a travel cot and the lady on reception remembered my call.
I met up with some friends and we had lunch and we all agreed it was great value for money and rather yummy. I also had dinner there and that too was great value as well as delicious. The staff were friendly nothing was too much trouble.
The room I was given was lovely. Well appointed, but I didn't like the carpet in the bathroom. I just don't like carpets in bathrooms. I had a view of the high street and hills behind as well as some very pretty window boxes. I loved all the little scottish touches, not too over the top, just enough. I slept very well.
The following day I met up with another friend and we had morning coffee with warm homemade scones, I highly recommend the scones.
Overall, it is a lovely hotel, with very friendly, helpful staff. I would definately stay again.
