We stayed here while walking the West Highland Way. Jim and Diane got it all right! Our room was spacious and immaculate, the bathroom was well appointed and we had nice long hot showers. Breakfast was delicious, and in general everything was grand. We rate this the best place we stayed on the entire walk - and also the best value. We will definitely come back here!

NOTE: The West Highland Way guidebook has the location of Strathfillan House incorrect on their map. Follow the directions from the B&B itself, or give them a call. (Or use Google Maps if you have a smart phone.)

My Husband and I were walking the West Highland Way over 7 days in May. It was day four and we arrived looking like 'drooked rats' to a very warm welcome by Diane. As the B&B was 2 miles short of Tyndrum, we decided to walk on to Tyndrum and originally thought of walking back, when Diane kindly offered her husband Jim to pick us up at Tyndrum! This was greatly appreciated as it was 'chucking it down' . Again a very warm welcome, Diane was all prepared to take our wet gear and dry it off overnight for us the next day.
The accomodation was perfect, room was extremely clean and very comfortable, nice touches in the ensuite and extremely quiet, giving me the best sleep I had had the whole walk. (perhaps it was the fact the house used to be a manse with a lovely church next door?)
Breakfast was excellent, home made jams, free range eggs, and local produce for bacon and sausage.
We were unlucky to have rotten weather for the WHW, but the overnight at Strathfillan house made up for it, again a welcome lift to Tyndrum to continue our walk to the Kings house at glencoe. We will certainly recomend to friends.

We were a party of three walking the West Highland Way over 7 days. On Day 4 we walked from Inveraman to Tyndrum and it rained all day. By the time we got to Strafillan House we were soaked almost to the skin. Diane met us and very kindly took all our wet clothes and boots and dried them overnight. Our room was delightful, with everything we could want. We had pre ordered a packed lunch and at breakfast Diane made it up for us with our choice of sandwiches. Nothing was too much trouble. We would heartily recommend Strafillan House.

Stopped here after a hard days walk, comfy bed hot shower and very relaxing room. Great breakfast and eggs were from the hens in the garden! Lovely night stay would definitely recommend : )
