“Lovely location, but showing its age slightly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012 via mobile

Arrived on a cold February afternoon, had a walk around luss and went for lunch before checking in, room nice and cosy, my pre ordered strawberries waiting on us, lovely coated in chocolate. Stunning view from room accros the loch. Room decoration nice, lamp shades bashed ripped and squint, unnecessary for such a cheap item to replace. Bathroom modern with sauna (nice touch) only minus here was black hair stuck to wall in toilet and when dispenser for shower gel would not work, I unscrewed it and it was mouldy inside.. Try to get top floor room if you can, as wooden floors transfer noise of heavy footsteps above. Staff all lovely and actually seemed to enjoy working here, food in restaurant nice, would maybe have been nice to include a glass of wine/champagne with the fixed menu.. Great choice at breakfast, as well as buffet, additional items could be ordered. Would go back but would hope owners would fix a couple of wee niggles to update the Corbett rooms.

“Wedding Day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

My daughter's wedding went amazingly well. Anne Marie was the wedding planner and she did her job perfectly. The lodge was a spectacular venue in the most scenic area. We food and service were beyond compare. I could not recommend the Lodge highly enough to anyone planning a wedding event.

Room Tip: A room with a balcony gives wonderful views of Loch Lomond

“Great location and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Stayed here for 2 nights and our experience was lovely. The location is great and the view from the room was stunning.
We booked via Groupon and it was great value.
We had a Munro room which was excellent, being roomy and lovley and warm. The bed was very comfy and as I said before, the view was just perfect.
We ate at the restaurant and the food was excellent. The only very tiny criticisms were that the supplement for the beef was not stated on the menu, and the waitress failed to tell us what wasn't available when she gave us the menus...like I say only a very minor criticism, otherwise it was great.
Breakfast was good, everything to suit all tastes.
We also used the spa facilities which was a nice touch and a lovely way to relax.

Overall, I would definitely recommend the hotel and it was really convenient to drive to other locations and an easy 30-40 min drive from Glasgow.

“Wonderful Day”

My husband and I celebrated our Ruby Wedding Anniversary this year, and decided to celebrate with our families. After looking at a few Venues, we settled for The Lodge On Loch Lomond. Orginally from the area, we have lived in England for the past 40 years, so out of date with venues. We called to The Lodge while we were in Scotland last July, on recommendation from my nephew. On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Sarah Patrick, events co-ordinator. When she took us to where the meal would be held, we were won over. The view from the room was beautiful.Sarah was very helpful as we discussed what we would like for our meal. By the time we had arrived back in England the same day, Sarah had sent an Email outlining their suggestions. It was perfect. We were not back in Scotland until the day of the meal on the 28th December 2011, so any communication was by Email. The meal was beautiful and generous portions. The table layout was perfect, the service was second to none, and the staff were very helpful, efficient and pleasant. It was a lovely day and everyone enjoyed themselves. We would certainly go back to The Lodge On Loch Lomond for any future celebrations. It is an ideal venue for birthdays, anniversaries and weddings.

Room Tip: We did not stay over

“Not as good as it used to be”

Visited the restaurant at Lodge on the Loch last week. The lounge used to be beautifully set out and very stylish. I understand that it has new management. The decor inside the lounge is ok but they have changed the set up a lot and added more seating, presumably to fit more people in to eat. The changes mean that not all diners can enjoy the Loch view in style. It used to feel quite exclusive and unique but has been changed and not for the better. Had nice memories of going here, wont go back in a hurry.
