“New year break”

Have just returned from a 4 night stay at Inversnaid Hotel with Lochs & Glens, and what a wonderful time we had. We have never been to Scotland for Hogmanay before but we will certainly go again. We couldn’t believe the amount of work the staff put in to make our stay so memorable, nothing was too much trouble. The celebrations on New Years eve were fantastic.
Jackie the hotel manageress really went the extra mile and Ashley the entertainments director was a laugh a minute.
Our room was kept spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee making facilities topped up daily. We had a room overlooking the loch, which was a bonus

Just got back from Inversnaid with a Lochs and Glens New Year package. This is the sixth time we have spent New Year in Scotland with Lochs and Glens. Always excellemnt value for money at the other hotels but this was the best yet. Fantastic views, great food and entertainment and all the staff were wonderful.

Cannot fault anything and must thank the management team and entertainment manager Ashley for a wonderful break.

“still as good after 20 years”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 December 2011

I first visited this hotel over 20 years ago and went back last week for my 5th visit, which I enjoyed as much as the previous ones. The hotel surroundings are fabulous, the rooms are clean and well presented, the food is very good( the breakfasts are EXCELLENT), all of the staff were warm and friendly, the bars are well stocked with reasonable prices, on the down side the heating in the bedrooms is by way of electric heaters which were not on enough so the rooms were cold when going up to bed. The single track road ( approx 20 miles) is absolutely dreadful and takes over 1 hour to reach the hotel, but after day 1 the hotel ferry is used to cross the loch to board the coach near a main road, all in all it is a great holiday and can be recommended to all

Room Tip: loch view if possible

“Jackie, thank you”

We didn't actually stay here, we were staying nearby when the storms struck and having no power we decided to drive to the nearest town. Having found the road blocked by a tree the coaches from the Inversnaid were there on the other side of the blockage, so in the abscence of any phone signals we gave one of the drivers a lift to the hotel to get "Mick the chainsaw". By the time we got to the hotel the loch was whipping up waves like no-bodies business, so we were invited in for lunch.

The storm got worse, the power went, the generator cable failed... throughout all of this the staff couldn't have been more hospitable to two strangers who were taking refuge. They were also amazing to all their regular clientelle too. The allowed us to stay for dinner - so I got my candle-lit birthday dinner, but it wasn't quite as I imagined!...

To top it all, when we decided to make a move and brave the travel back to where we were staying, they refused to take any money for the food we'd eaten, and said if we didn't make it through to come back and they'd find us a room.

This place showed true Scottlish hospitality at it's best

Thank you Jackie, the manageress, and your coach drivers, and everyone else who looked after us. You made what would have been an awful day lovely and warm!
