“Clean, comfortable, warm, friendly, helpful, relaxed, good breakfast.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011 via mobile

We stayed 4 nights in this friendly and well run B&B. The bedrooms were immaculately clean with king sized beds, and the en-suite bathrooms clean and well thought out. The decor was to a high standard throughout, and it was cosy with underfloor heating.

Breakfast was served in the warm and attractive conservatory, where there was also a small guest seating area with board games etc available. The large breakfast table was shared with other guests which contributed to a homely feel. The breakfasts themselves were well prepared, not greasy, and made on demand without the need to order the night before.

Despite the late hour I was made a very welcome cup of tea on arrival, and Anne and John were extremely helpful throughout.

“Great B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011

We stayed over for a couple of nights whilst visiting friends in Helensburgh, the hosts were welcoming, the house was lovely and the garden must look amazing in the summer (we visited in autumn)

We stayed in the green room, overlooking the garden, and as well as being very clean and well presented, the room had free wifi and an ipad for use whilst you stayed (a nice touch)

The breakfast was superb and made to order and they were happy to adapt items on the menu

We'll be staying again next time were in Helensburgh

Room Tip: I suspect they're all great

“Lovely Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of a holiday in Scotland. Anne and John were very welcoming and we had a great stay, the room was spacious, clean and cosy. The breakfasts were plentiful. We were given great advice for visiting and eating and were very grateful and pleased with the places we went to during our stay. Highly recommended

Room Tip: The green room is lovely, overlooking the garden

“Our Home from Home”

After choosing Balmillig as our base, I think it's fair to say we struck gold. From the moment we arrived, Anne and John made us feel right at home and with a welcoming cup of tea and biscuits, our stay got off on the right foot. We had two of our grown - up boys in tow, and had reserved two of the superbly comfortable rooms for our stay. One of the lads is based in Edinburgh and had asked if he could come and stay over with us at the last minute. At very short notice, (2 Hours!), Anne had sorted out the extra accomodation without a problem. We honestly couldn't have asked for more. The breakfast the following morning was superb and demolished by all!
If you need a touring base for the Trossachs, Loch Lomond and the beautiful surrounding area, don't look any further, you won't be disappointed.
Anne and John, thank you both so much for your hospitality and kindness and we will return very soon. (Apologies for the late review)Tony and Sue, Sale Cheshire
