“Perfection!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

Rather late in reviewing, but I'm currently planning a getaway for my boyfriend and myself and I keep thinking to myself "I hope it's as good as Bramblewood" This was were we stayed for our first holiday together, to celebrate our one-year anniversary, and it was spectacular! John and Rosemary are delightful and John's eggs are to die for. They were more than happy to share their knowledge of the area and gave us handy ideas for what to do during the day, didn't mind that we were late checking in (I believe we got stuck in traffic) and gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate our special occasion. The room was very well decorated, clean, spacious and the bathroom was amazing! Our room was on the 1st floor (where you enter), next to the dining room; the rest of the rooms are downstairs. The B&B also caters towards vegetarians, which was new to me (normally, I'm stuck with baked beans and tomato). If you plan on journeying further than the West Highland Way, a car is a necessity in the area, but it hardly deterred us from enjoying ourselves. This was the hotel/B&B to compare all others.

“Would go back for a second visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

Great little find. This is a little way out of the centre of Drymen but only about a 5 minute easy walk. We stayed here for one night during our walk of the west highland way. It was one of the best B&B's we have stayed in. It was like stepping into a 5 star hotel room but with more space and a better view. The owners also offered to drive us down the hill but we declined - nice offer though! The bed was enormous and the linen plain white and really good quality. There is everything you would expect in a luxury hotel with a lovely comfy bath to boot. The breakfast was superb and cooked to order (you have to pre-order the night before). We have breakfast with another American couple around the table the next day which was highly entertaining and we were almost kicked out we took so long over it. We have mentioned this place six months after we have been there which means it must be good - thinking of re-booking!

Room Tip: Downstairs double room was lovely.

“Great B&B in Drymen”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2011

We stayed here on our first night of walking the West Highland Way. Arriving early in Drymen, we were disappointed to find we really did have to wait until 4pm for check in - we arrived at 10 to find no-one at home - the landlady arrived at 5 to - but the room was worth waiting for, big, furnished tastefully, and with a bath (very important to soak after a long walk) with lots of hot water.

The beds were comfortable, and while we did notice some sounds of other guests are mentioned in another review, they did not disturb us.

Breakfast was very good with the full Scottish being loaded with local high-quality produce, and too much for me to finish.

It is a little out of Drymen on the Balmaha Road, and a mile away from mile 12 of the WHW (the landlady offered us a lift back there), but it was worth the effort.

“Peaceful location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 September 2011

Stopped here at the end of first day's walking on the West Highland Way. We received a friendly welcome and were shown to our room which was downstairs. The room was well appointed and flawlessly clean. The only criticism was that there were people staying in the room above and the floors creaked and you could hear them coughing etc. Breakfast was good but not excellent. Overall not a bad choice, especially when listening to other walkers tales of woe!!

“Great B&B in Loch Lomond area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 September 2011

Very nice accomodations with patio. Very private, clean and with great breakfast. Helpful hosts with suggestions for attractions and restaurants in the area. There was a nice parking area. Would definitely stay there again.
