The Waterhouse Inn I would highly recommend. The room No 4 (double room) was spotlessly clean and very modern and so was the restaurant and bar The staff where friendly and the breakfasts where excellent. Our 4 night stay was well worth it.
A really lovely hotel in a lovely location.

We stayed here for 5 nights for my 40th birthday. I'd chosen balloch as a base from which to explore the Loch Lomond area. Balloch is at the southern end of the Loch and the Waterhouse is in an excellent location to have a relaxing beak in the area. Luss and Tarbet are only a short drive away and Loch Lomond Country Park is a stroll across the road. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and were really friendly. The food is excellent quality and great value for money. The bar area is also a good place to relax in the evening. Our room was clean, bright and modern and the bed comfy. The bathroom was spotless too. We will definitely be returning and would recommend the Waterhouse for an excellent value for money place to stay in a beautiful setting.

My husband and I stayed on Valentine's Night. It has been the second time that we have stayed at the Waterhouse Inn. The rooms are spotlessly clean, modern and comfy, and very quiet considering there is a bar downstairs. Location is great for shopping (Loch Lomond Shores is walking distance), pubbing and clubbing. Staff are very friendly and food is great.

This was our second stay at this hotel as we regularly come to visit relatives in the area. The location is excellent - just across the road from Loch Lomond national park and a short car journey to The Trossachs (Rob Roy country).
Hotel rooms are modern, with plenty of room and everything you would expect. There are only ~7 rooms so it doesn't get noisy in the hotel, though the highstreet below is quite busy. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice if you don't want the full Scottish breakfast. The breakfast room is also open as a very good quality, reasonably priced bistro throughout the day.
There is a pub also as part as the hotel which seems to attract a good crowd with no rowdy teens. We even watched the Scotland International there and the atmosphere was great!
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay and will definitely return
