There are plenty of hotels and guest houses to chose from in Rothesay but few would match this one. It was a real find. The welcome was warm and friendly and everything was done to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel is right on the front and convenient for the centre of town. Food was excellent. Hope to return some day.

Stayed at the hotel for 1 night to celebrate my cousins birthday.
Found Graham to be a very good host and could not do enough to ensure we had a good time.
We chose to eat in the hotel restaurant which was a great idea, good food and great service.

Booked this hotel at the last moment due to a change in plans.Purpose of our visit to Bute was to do some walking.Location of hotel superb and the room was clean and tidy.
The owners were very kind and attentive. Had dinner at the Hotel which was a treat and breakfast was just as good .Had agreat day on Bute with great weather beautiful scenery and a very nice hotel . Unfortunately could only stay one night but hope to return to the lovely island of Bute and the Cannon House Hotel in the near future.

I found the accommodations to be more than adequate and when I commented that I couldn't say warm, Graham was prompt to bring up a space heater for me. Everything was within walking distance and if it wasn't, bus service was readily available. Beautiful island, took the Open Top Bus Tour to see some areas I wouldn't normally have been able to visit and took the tour bus to Mount Stuart. This tour is a must if you visit the island. I found the shop keepers to be very friendly and informative. Recommended the island to a well-travelled Brittish gentleman I sat next to when travelling to Rome after my stay in Scotland. He was most impressed with the pictures and would give a stay serious consideration.
