A meal for two adults and two children, 2 beers, one glass of wine, one g&t and two soft drinks cost over £75. Whist the service, etc was fine, the food was no better than average. We didn't think this was terribly good value.

We were staying nearby and the Braemar Lodge was recommended for Dinner. We arrived and firstly went to the bar and asked to look at the menu. We ordered and thought that the service for us was fine. However, whilst sitting in the bar area enjoying the cosy fire and Deer heads on the wall, another couple arrived and ordered two coffees. They were told that they would only serve them if they were eating as they only had a table licence. The couple then reitterated that they only wanted coffee and they were turned away by a man saying 'We are not a coffee shop'. Not good service if you rely on tourist trade.

This has a lovely restaurant and pub - have been here several times and always get a suberbly friendly reception and hearty food which is value for money. The pub has a superb selection of whisky and cairngorm ales and a roaring log fire. This is a all year round jewel after a day of action in the breathtaking surroundings.

Just back from another wonderful stay in Braemar Lodge Hotel.
9 years ago my husband and I discovered this lovely family run hotel in the cairngorms, and have visited every year since.
Ronnie & Fiona are a wonderful couple and can't do enough to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable.
The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable, the log cabins are perfect for self catering.
Having stayed in both over the years, I can't fault this place at all.
Parking onsite is free.
Food is always good! Chefs have changed over the years, but this hasn't been to the detriment of the quality or variety in the menu. Food is always perfect! Whether is be a sunday roast, steak or veegetarian dish, they are all amazing.
If they don't have anything on the menu you like, ask them if they wouldn't mind making something to your liking. The chef will accomodate, if the ingredients are available.
The bar is well stocked with Whiskey! Also many other liquers, spirits, beers, wines and soft drinks.
I've never had a bad visit, and can't wait for next time!
