i spent 2 weeks in the harris hotel, same 4 main meals on menu every night, cheifs special was same for the 2 weeks, food and drinks are expensive. The heating during night was turned off so woke up freezing in morning, was there in december at freezing temperatures, had argue with staff for extra heater, cobwebs all over the corner off the room, wouldnt recommend a 2 week visit

We spent two nights here. The dinners and breakfasts were very good to great. The desk clerk was most helpful in planning our next day's itinerary. The room was clean and fine. The staff was most helpful. This hotel is excellent for Harris. Proximity to the ferry terminal was a plus.

I enjoyed a couple of nights at the Harris Hotel. A warm old-fashioned (in a good way) family hotel. I had a clean and comfortable room, which was very welcome as I arrived in the driving rain (the very helpful bus driver will drop you off outside the hotel, which is a few minutes walk from the main bus stop in Tarbert). The restaurant was very good both for dinner and breakfast. There is a cosy bar with a conservatory adjoining, and large lounges with free tea and coffee after dinner. Staff were attentive and friendly, I was on my own but didn't feel left out. Couldn't fault my stay, would highly recommend the Harris Hotel.

Lovely, traditional hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, our room clean. We had two meals in the restaurant which were both great. We left very early in the morning so they made us a take away breakfast.
