“An outstanding example of Highland hospitality”

This is one of the best B&Bs in Scotland. The owners have a pride in what they do and staying here is truly five star and excellent value. We had the most wonderful visit and would definitely return. The room, breakfast with "Macallan" porrige ! and relaxing environment is simply outstanding.
Uig Bay is an amazing place and Sue and Alec are the perfect hosts.
Thank you so much for the memories.

Could have stayed longer the breakfast lived up to previous trip advisor comments with especially Alex's famous MacCAllum porridge which set me up for the day. A wonderful find

“Perfect start to our Honeymoon!”

On arrival we recieved a warm and friendly welcome from Sue and Alex.

They made us feel very special as it was the first day of our Honeymoon island hop.

To compliment the excellent accomodation, they offer a wonderful transfer service (in this case to The Three Chimneys) which allowed us to enjoy the experience all the more.

Rooms are spacious and very well appointed. Breakfast was superb! The porridge DID taste better with cream and sugar, as Alex suggested!

We would love to return in the future and have no hesitation in recommending Cuil Lodge Guest House to couple and families.

“Impeccable hospitality”

After a long journey from Edinburgh, we were warmly greeted by Cuil Lodge's owners, Alex and Sue Taylor, and offered tea. Both bedrooms--yes, there are only two--were immaculately clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable, and the view of Uig Bay from the bedroom windows were spectacular. We really appreciated the modern bathrooms, with great showers! One bedroom is slightly larger than the other, but both are roomy.

Alex and Sue were attentive without being intrusive. They cooked us delicious breakfasts both mornings; the porridge with a drizzle of The MacAllan single-malt whisky has to be tasted to be believed.

Uig is a perfect starting place from which to explore the rugged beauty of the Isle of Skye. Alex, a veteran of the tour business, gave us a short list of must-see places. At the end of one long day we had dinner at the Uig Hotel, just up the road; another day we had dinner at the Stein Inn; both were fantastic.

We couldn't have been more satisfied with our choice of Cuil Lodge.

Room Tip: One room is slightly larger than the other.

“Excellent”

Why is not every B&B like this???
Rooms were tidy, quiet, cosy, wonderfully furnished and spacious. Bathroom were tidy and we even had a bathtube. Breakfast was excellent, in quality and selection. Great scottish breakfast and you could add fresh (strawberry and raspberry) and dried fruits to your cereals.
The B&B owner was friendly and helpful. This was one of our best B&B so far.
