We stayed because we were tracing Johhson's Journey to the Northern Isles. He stayed in this building in 1773. Wanted to stay no matter what the cost. It was expensive, but when you combine luxury accomodation with gourmet foods (really at the end of the world), it was a bargain.

Room with poster bed and ipod compatible TV, plus view over the wild windy ocean with two foot walls was really good. Food was even better. I can't imagine how they do it located in the wilderness of western Skye. I asked how they bought such incredible bread when they are miles from a bakery. "We make it" says Pam. The fish is local and taken fresh from local waters. Still thinking about the dinners.

Fantastic location, food excellent and a warm welcome to be reccomended even if weather was a little breezy but a camera only took the sun and the views many thanks Scott & Anne Thomson

We selected this hotel from reading reviews on the Internet, and it certainly came up to expectations.

We had prebooked another restauarant for one of our 3 nights stay, but had we realised the high standard of dining, there would have been no need.

5 Star accommodation and 5 star dining - in a wonderfully peaceful place.

There are exceleent walks direct from the hotel - one in particular about 2.5km each way takes you to unspolit bays and amazing photo opportunitioes because of the way the light changes.

We had a fantastic stay. Clean quiet cosy hotel. Excellent hosts. The food was absolutely divine, definitely five star rating. We definitely recommend this hotel, especially for couples that need a quiet romantic breakaway. Well done Ullinish!!
