This historic hotel is in a beautiful location, but the rooms are in dire need of updating and renovations. In spite of it being called a "hotel", there is no one to help you with your luggage! The bar area is kind of fun, but the restaurant area has no charm (but a great view.) The food is OK.
My room was small, and it felt sort of dingy. No attempt at any sort of decor whatsoever. The bedding was not of high quality -- flat pillow, bedding that felt sort of old, and no top sheet. The bathroom was of a nice size, and I was looking forward to taking a bath in the large, modern tub UNTIL the toilet started bubbling up, and then brown water began bubbling up in the bathtub as well. Even though this was fixed while I was out during the day, I didn't trust taking a bath that evening!
I hope one day to be able to return to the Isle of Skye (so beautiful); however, I would NOT stay here again.
Room Tip: Be careful to close your door; they don't automatically shut.
