“Special birthday visit”

Have just returned from spending my "special" birthday with my husband at Kinloch Lodge. This was our second visit - having stayed a few years ago. A warm welcome is extended starting with a glass of bubbly in front of a log fire. The food at all times was absolutely divine - could not fault at all. What is more this is a relaxing venue with staff that go out of the way to ensure you have a pleasant stay.

Hope to return sometime when the weather is warmer and see Skye in a different season!

“Tranquility and indulgence”

This was our 2nd stay at Kinloch Lodge, it didn't disappoint.
Food fantastic, dinner can be up to 6 courses if you choose, this will include Marcello Tullys' soupçon and an intermediary special course, usually fish. You can finish dinner with a desert or cheese, they do a very interesting cheese dish too as an alternative to the usual "cheese trolley" it's well worth a try.
Breakfasts are delicious, with the regular Scottish breakfast, bacon, sausage etc. but they have some lovely alternatives for those who like a change.
The staff are friendly and very accommodating, rooms are very comfortable and have fantastic views.
If you want a few days away from it all with a little indulgence, Kinloch Lodge is a worthy try.
P.s. try the homemade scones, divine.

Room Tip: Room number 8 in the Main House, or in the lodge, as for the room upstairs with the veranda looking...

What a wonderful way to spend a few days on this wonderful island. Kinloch Lodge is amazing the way your hosts blend amazing hospitality and quality with a wonderful earthy home welcoming environment is truly unique. The fantastic food (aagh the food simply the best) the attention to detail is magnificent. Do try the Whisky and Wine flights very enjoyable and a lot of fun. Special mention for Rachel who was amazing throughout our stay.

“Wonderful place to stay on the Isle of Skye”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay in July 2011. The welcome was warm, the setting absolutely stunning, and the room was clean and cosy. The food in the restaurant was exceptional. The atmosphere in the restaurant varied greatly between different nights owing to different types of people - one night it was a bit quiet and almost stifling, but that is to do with the nature of the guests at the time I suppose! The service in the restaurant was great, all the staff were very friendly.
After dinner cocktails were great with some very novel creations - served in a very homely drawing room.
Breakfasts were equally as delicious. The warm scones a particular favourite!
All in all, a great stay in a lovely place. I would highly recommend it both to stay and to dine in.

Can't recommend Kinloch Lodge highly enough. Particularly the (well deserved) Michelin Star restaurant. The food, wine and service were all absolutely superb.
