Our stay here was only for a coupld of days and we were more than happy with our accomodation. Our view from our room was second to none. In travelling for 3 months across asia and europe i don't think we had a better view out our window. Loved it!

The room was large but a little dated. That didnt bother us at all as it was comfortable.

The service was a little average as checkin was made at the bar and there didn't appear to be any staff dedicated to the running of the hotel. The staff were all good, just not quite the same level that we'd received elsewhere.

If returning to Portree we'd consider staying here again but we'd probably have a look around at what else was available first.

We were the only residents at the Marmalade and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel is modern and clean. Because we were the only guests breakfast time was flexible.

Honest and good value offering.

Free wifi was much appreciated and the hotel is well located for a quick walk to the pubs in Portree.

Very friendly, helpful and flexible staff. Bar and restaurant very cosy, and a great breakfast in the morning which was served before the official start of breakfast time. Free wifi. Very comfy bed and good nick-nacks in room including local soaps and a dvd player. Pretty good value too. The one issue was a lack of hot water for the mains shower in the morning but I'd put that down to a one-off issue. Good parking. Really good food in the evening. Bar was not too busy but was lively enough for a Thursday night in December!

Visited Marmalade last week - best meal we had on Skye! The menu is varied without being pretentious, the food is excellent, the portion sizes are unreal! Service was attentive and friendly, will definately return!!!.
